No one thinks saying things like that is okay. This also isn't real life, stop with that argument. Your post is worthless; you expanded on nothing at all.
this isn't real life?

There was once a very important set of rules for mmorpg's and in the last 12 years the rules have died, the most important one was this.
"It's a SERVICE. Not a game. It's a WORLD. Not a game. It's a COMMUNITY. Not a game. Anyone who says, 'it's just a game' is missing the point."
This was the LAW of online gaming, but now the majority of players don't even understand this.
a quote from a brilliant developer.
"What led me to come up with it? I don't think I came up with it at all. You see people who have been doing online games for any length of time patiently trying to get this point across to those who don't understand it. I just stated it a bit more baldly, I guess. I think the key here is that "just a game" is a common excuse used by those who want to minimize the importance of what happens online in this sort of environment. "You playerkilled me!" "Relax, it's just a game." But even if it is a game, the emotions that you feel while playing are real emotions, and the people on the other side of the screen are real people... There's also the important adjustment that traditional box software companies have to make when they publish an online world game - it really is a different business model, a different marketing challenge, a different thing altogether. You have to treat it like a service industry - like cable TV, or phone service. Ultimately, whoever is making this sort of game is making a virtual space for players to interact in. To a large extent, the game itself is superfluous. It's about the other people."
People have just forgotten that this isn't just a game, and in their selfish behavior, ruin the game, and this isn't just the players that do this, it is the virus in humanity called Greed, the company is just as much to blame, as the player base who enforce this sort of behavior.
as much i enjoy the fact that Free to play brings wonderful games to more players, the fact that it also opens up the GATES OF HELL, in the way that it allows players who shouldn't be allowed to play the games, the access too them.
Let us not forget all the recent issues the game has had, as soon as certain regions were unblocked, and the game became Free to play.
Free to play removes a lot of the Red Tape protection, and allows more and more players in that can hardly even be considered human, with their way they behave.
There are people like this in every culture, and region of the world, however, in the recent months, it has become very obvious that any game that is free to play, is not worth the time and effect of the loyal and more deserving players any longer.
People like to find any and all excuses for these sorts of behavior online, however, if even a 1% of these actions took place in the lives of the people who say these things are "okay" simply because they are online, then they would quickly have a change of heart in these matters.
It is rather disgusting how people can sit here and say "oh it's okay because it is online".
They never stop to think that the person on the other side of the screen is a REAL person, their feelings and emotions are REAL, their fears and experiences are REAL, and that they are REALLY being effected by the actions of others.
In short, most of the people on this game since it became Free to play, i would not ever even consider "human", solely based on their behavior in the game, their CHOICES are REAL, their thoughts are REAL, their dementia is REAL, and their actions have REAL re-actions.
