I've update the original message with the latest information on fixes to account management for subscriptions:

Earlier today we deployed a set of account management updates designed to fix bugs and allow users to more easily manage their subscriptions. This update allows you to select or change the plan that you want for your subscription and adjust your subscription state for manual or automatic renewal. If you had wanted to change your subscription earlier but this functionality wasn’t in place yet – now is the time for you to go change to the subscription of your choice.

When you set up your initial subscription plan during your initial 30 day free period you will not be charged until you reach the end of your free game time period. However, if you change from your initial subscription plan you will be charged at that time, but you will NOT lose any game time as the new subscription plan is added to your existing game time.

When you reach the end of your subscription period ( including the initial 30 day free trial) you will be billed for the subscription plan you have selected for automatic renewal. If your account is set for manual renewal and you wanted to be on an automatic renewal plan you should make your changes before the end of your current subscription period. If you have issues with your credit card authorization (over limit, expired card, etc.) during automatic renewal, we will provide a seven (7) day grace period to allow you to correct any issues with your payment method.

We apologize for not having this functionality earlier and hope that this addresses your need to manage and change subscription plans.

You have been patiently waiting for the ability to manage their subscriptions and we greatly appreciate that. Not all of the account management and subscription functions are fully enabled yet, and we are working to fix those features now. Unfortunately, it will take a few more days before subscription management features are fully available.

To help alleviate problems that some people are having with their subscriptions expiring, we have provided those affected by this with continued access to TERA while we work to resolve the issue with our billing partner. If your subscription expires over the next couple of days it can take a couple hours for the system to recognize and automatically re-enable game access. We apologize for any delays in this process.

We are also aware that if you cancel your subscription that there can be a delay in the confirmation showing up in your Account Management Page. It should complete within 15 minutes of your cancellation request. Please give it at least an hour before checking in with Customer Service.

I’ll be back with another post soon when we are prepared to roll out the subscription updates. Thank you for your patience.
