Edhin's Post History

@Gtrazr,
Does your guild not run lower level dungeons for its members?

As part of the montage for the Queen of Argon expansion, some of the details concerning one of the new level 60 dungeons: Sirjuka Gallery

A few notable things seem to be curios to buy rare glyphs in Allementhia, neck pieces with increased attack speed, some new armor skins in the form of blue gear, and it looks like there is a picture with a Lancer and Berseker that show helmets inspired by the graphics of the final boss Barkud.

Well, I was perusing the recent new stories:
http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/new-skills-to-fight-the-argon-queen

I started seeing some new content pop up to start digesting. =)

En Masse wants to see more 60(s) it seems by helping out players level quicker with in-game redeemable items:

Canephora Potion (x2): +12% damage dealt
Cracker Confetti (x2): +20% experience from killing monsters

Drop rates have increased in normal and hard mode dungeons. Dungeon Matching offers buffs to parties that group together (2-4 player buffs).

Their goal is to get people through current content quicker, get gear quicker, and get ready to start raiding.

Some of the screenshots in the Nexus Raid look pretty cool:

And then, the information to changes on Lancers and Warrior skills and a new resource bar for tanks (Resolve):

http://tera.enmasse.com/the-argon-queen/new-skills

The Resolve resource seems to help with MP usage. Defensive skills use resolve and offensive abilities use MP. I am curious if this introduces crystals or glyphs eventually to speed up generation of resolve as the post does not mention how Resolve is generated. I assume it has a passive regeneration rate, but I hope that perhaps there is overlap in MP and Resolve generation possibly with auto-attack or some chained skills.

Don't forget to get your Summer Event on! http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/summer-event-announcement

I wish everyone luck getting their permanent sunglasses as the bathing suits seem to have a 30 day timer (we can hope that is 30 played days and not 30 chronological days ;-) sexay sexay).

Also, spend some time reading skill and glyph tool tips.

While Evasion and Death from Above are staples for avoiding damage, there are skills that also assist in this as well.

Torrent of Blows:
Swing your swords in a wide arc, drawing high aggro from surrounding enemies. You are less likely to be knocked down or immobilized, and you take only half damage.

Pounce:
Jump to target and slow target by 50% with a slash. You take only half damage while using skill.

Rising Fury:
Hit a target twice; the lower your HP, the greater the damage. Damage taken reduces by 20% while the skill is being used.

The above skills are just passive damage reduction when the skill is active. Then add Smoke Aggressor, you can cast this in combat when a boss is repositioning. Smoke Aggressor takes the threat you generated and then you send it to attack the target. Albeit, the Smoke Aggressor can take a lot of damage as it is not dodging ..etc., but the target is also does not have aggro on you. You can use backstab to get back into position while your aggressor is up and then use Evasion to get right back in front to avoid moving the target's position.

For the DPS role, it is not a 5-star DPS in difficulty. I would say it is more akin to 3-star for just DPS. For tanking, the 5-star is more the fact that you have to be more engaged in your positioning (dodging left and right, using DFA timely, ..etc) and creative with your skill choices.

Edhin

PS - I did not get into the new up and coming skills "Parry" and "Shadowstep" and I did not get into crystals and glyphs considerations.

Yes, there is a camera delay as it repositions you. I am not sure this would be classified as broken, but it would be nice if the delay was not pronounced or disorientating.

What the challenge is if you are pressing a movement key and activating the backstab skill, I find that when I first started using the ability I saw an increase in the chance of missing the target with a chained skill.

Once I got more comfortable with the skill, I started to predict better.

Backstab is problematic when trying to backstab a target that is on either an incline or decline. You will fall short of the target. I believe I read somewhere that abilities that move you forward will prevent you from falling off edges of the cliff/world. I am not sure how valid this is as the target would also have to be off the edge of the cliff/world. This suggests that backstab is a straight line to the target and any increase or decrease in the angle to get to the target signifies potentially a cliff/world falling possibility.

One tip I found useful until I got more comfortable with attacking with backstab was that before activating something like Combative strike, Pounce..etc, was to start auto-attacking right after a backstab. You are regenerating some MP while the camera angle is changing as well as reducing the chances to miss the target once you adjust as our auto-attack animation will probably still hit a target even if we are slightly off.

The stun "should" still be up after the camera angle adjusting and glyph for increased duration is also a good consideration (http://teracodex.com/item/6252).

The original poster is probably going, "You guys don't have a sense of humor!"

I sense boredom or eccentricity is strong with this one...
@Flyindoor
The macaroons look really good...well done, sir. =)

@Tyskouri
We are always recruiting good, like minded people for the guild! =) I will let the officers know to look out for you. In the mean time, you can submit an application to the guild, sot aht we do not lose track of you. I have to work late tonight, but I will make sure that my better half Rosaelyn looks out for you. =)

@Brakthir
Welcome back from D3! I hope D3 treated you alright. We are always looking for level 60(s) that are interested in running end game dungeons. Thank for submitting an in-game application. I will make sure that at least one officer contacts you and moves your application process along.

Thank you both for your interest in Faith and Fury! I look forward to meeting you in-game!

Cheers,
Edhin
@Rifu
Thank you for the well wishes! =)
