Ehlynia's Post History

As we are a community first the main answer is you should play what you enjoy the most :)

If I had to pick one class at this second for level 60, it would be tanks...but I think this is short term as many people have been leveling and since RL is first they haven't all gotten to level 60 yet; but they are heading up so I think we will be covered well fairly soon.

The main goal is for our members to enjoy themselves :) And their are of course a lot of alts. For a bit I thought the alt guild would grow larger than the main one, but so far we have stayed ahead of the other guild in population.
Thanks for the recent invite requests, but as stated in this thread we are part of a larger community so everyone must visit our site as stated in in the opening.
Woot Grats all.

-everyone who says soy milk tastes good is a lying-

Vanilla Soy isn't too bad especially with something like White Mocha as well :D
Played with TOG and Reave for many years. Good people and good times. Looking forward to see how the policy point system works.
The flesh out a common question: Why to we ask everyone to go to our website.

The reason is actually very simple; The Older Gamers is an international organization of gamers who play many different games besides Tera. Membership into our guilds in those games is ONLY open to members of our community. It is against the rules of our community to just invite anyone who asks to join.

Now as Primexes was mentioning above, joining the community gets you access to tons of other content and game guilds far beyond that of Tera. This is for existing games as well as future games. We have over 50,000 registered members, of those it is though about 30,000 of them are active in the gaming world. So if you join and find well Tera wasn't really the game for me after all; then you would still have a home in one of our TOG guilds that will welcome you immediately in that other game (Though I would say are you mad! Tera is awsome! But ok... T.T )

So in order to join TOG you have to goto our website, and in the public section is an area called the Barracks. There are instruction there on what the admin would like to join the community.

Once you have joined the community we need you to scroll down into the depths of the forums to the Tera Forum in the MMO section. There are stickies there with instructions about what mumble server we use and how to get an invite to the guild. To be a spoiler there is a thread that says "TERA Guild Invite Requests!". We need all of our members to post there so we can verify yes infact you really are a member of TOG...did I mention 50k accounts on the site...so we have no way of knowing quickly and easily if you are a member without posting in our private forum. This keeps our admin happy and that keeps me happy :D As I am the one in charge of all the possible Tera guilds for TOG.

Thanks SI.
Rather than whine and moan about guilds that have 300 people you should instead just go and talk to those guilds that are lower. If a handful of small guilds decide to vote together there is no way that a single 300 person guild can hold any major location.

Be political, talk to other guilds band together and you can reduce the impact of purely zerg guilds. There should be about 19 different provinces in Tera there is plenty of room for many guilds to get something if they try for it.

I think what you described is exactly what TOG is about: a friendly, vibrant community full of PC gaming addicts from around the world, who are old enough to know how to enjoy ourselves properly!

TOG is more than a gaming clan. Our large member base is active in many more games than a typical clan might be involved in, and our focus is more on our community rather than on an individual game. One of the great things about TOG is that anytime an interesting game comes along, you can almost guarantee there will be a host of players ready to go! For many of our games, however, we do compete (sometimes fielding multiple teams) in online competitions. In these games that have a competitive aspect about them, we are active in the exact same manner as other clans. In MMORPG games, TOG will usually form at least one Guild/Player Association/Outfit (whatver term is approriate).

The average age of TOG members is somewhere in the mid 30s, but we have had people join up the day they turn 25, and we have many players in their 40s, and some in their 50s, 60s and even 70s.

We are all pretty relaxed players and although we play certain games competitively and are serious about enjoying our gaming, skill level and ‘commitment to a game’ are not a requirements to play with TOG. We expect all our members to be respectful of all other members (until you get to know them, then the ribbing can start!), regardless of their skill at a particular game.

TOG is an international community, and we have members from many different countries. As the majority of our members are Australian and American, the language used in our forums and on the website is English. TOG was initially formed in Australia in September 2002.

Our Division in Tera is a blend of Oceanic and North American players who are having fun playing this game together.
Cool =^.^=

Once the site admin approve it, just scroll down to our TOG Tera forums in the MMO section and post there real quick. Then good to go :D
