This is true, sadly. The number of times I've run into people like this is crazy.

I try to minimize my chances of running into them (or by actually being able to get out of them) by:

1. Choosing to tick that 'Able to lead party'. If you had lead, I'm certain that you would have changed loot accordingly to the fastest method or however you guys wanted to do it. I would usually just set it to Rare, Randomly.

2. Tank role. If people like those cause trouble again, I just vote to kick them or ask them to kick me. Either the tool is removed or I am from them with little consequence and time wasted.

It's also because of that "I'm never going to see/talk to this person again, so I WILL be an [filtered]". More than that though, chances are those people were just douches and are here to overcompensate with their e-pen.
Solo is almost only A-Stance since you'd want to be killing things quickly. So that's the DPS guide.

If you and your group of friends have a Lancer, you can probably get away with being a DPS warrior. Though if you don't, warrior tanking is a good option as well, which is the second thread you posted.

Yes there's a feature to switch between glyph setups in-game. You just need a glyph toggle item from a Merchant.
The repeatable quest might sound good, iirc it's 900k XP per quest? But assuming you're on a 100% XP scroll, just 5 grizzlies already net you 1M XP. I don't think it's efficient to purposely submit the repeatable quests for that 900k XP when you can just continue killing the grizzlies.

I could be really mistaken here since I didn't bother with the quest so I don't know where the exact NPC is or how long it'll take to get to/from the grizzlies spot to the NPC, but I purely did the grizzlies and still ended up grinding really fast enough.

Ya, the spaceship ones, I gave up and just bought them b4 the price went over 100k lucky me :x

They climbed up to 100k? Lol.

It sounds like they reduced the drop rate of Vitriols, possibly. I honestly can't see why unless they're expecting a delay in the newer T14 gear and want to slow down the number of people having VM. So that people aren't "maxed out" relatively quick.

If the new T14 gear was indeed soon, I'd imagine they'd even tweak the Vitriol drop rates to favor making VM so more people can access it and access the new gear. What's the point of introducing new content that nobody can experience?

Or if those rumors are true that they'll be dropping from dungeons too, probably that's why.
Dracolith's or whatever those dragon BAMs are called, are a nightmare in general for any melee class, in my opinion. Even as a warrior, which is arguably the most mobile melee class, it can get annoying fighting those.

For those with large AoEs or swings, I generally find that DFA is the best evasion tool against them. For those that charge at me, I just face my character behind, DFA, and hit it as it charges through me (sometimes if I time right, I even get a back damage DFA).

Rolling through the mobs to get behind them and avoid the wide-swing definitely helps.

For those that have a complete 360 degree AoE though (like the DoT skill of the 60 spaceship BAM), I find that being able to spot that attack early and just roll out of range until the attack is over is the best option. Otherwise, it'll require two perfectly timed and synchronized rolls/DFA + roll to avoid.

But other than that, Dracolith's are just a pain. Lol. Fun, but just annoyingly fun.

If I am partnered with a sorcerer, can I just go into D-stance and Torrent of Blows the dragoons while the sorcerer AoEs? It sounds too easy to be true.

Yup, I guess technically you can. IMO, it should definitely be way easier if you have a tank and a DPS doing it with you. Basically removes the need to survive and kill at the same time, with one doing the other in a tank+DPS duo.

*Cue deafening laughter from the mystic community*

Yeah, I can picture that. Lol.

Well, maybe Mystics next patch will be more similar to those classes. He did ask for a class that can summon stuff, which they technically can.. =P
1. It depends on what you consider 'worth playing'. Combat-wise, definitely a yes for me. I haven't tried Rift, but leveling is pretty much similar to WoW, generic quests that asks you to do stuff. I even consider WoW questing a bit more interesting.

2. By summon, like a Warlock in WoW or Summoner in RF Online? If so, yes. Mystics.
Sure!

Do note that I actually had to glyph myself especially for those fights. The previous posts have been correct, revolve around Roll > Vortex > Blade Draw and movement with RF > Blade Draw. I stuck with this for awhile just to get used to it and know when I'm able to sneak these attacks in, eventually was able to sneak in a RoB there as well.

What some people mistake with these mobs is that the minions do the killing, which is false especially for the early levels (pre 50). Pre 50, if you get caught by the attack animations of the minions, you're pretty much dead. Even post-50, at times. The biggest chunk of damage will come from the Knights themselves, especially when they do that charge jump thing. Minions are fairly easy to dodge and get around with since they're really really slow, attack animation included.

I found myself killing off the Knight first after it spawned maybe 3-4 times, leaving the minions easy targets. Eventually with better gear, knights deal really low damage to the point that they aren't an issue anymore. Your only issue then will be getting caught in the attack animations of over 50+ minions. 50+ hits at once, screen freezes, dead =P
Yup, my Warrior went from 42-53 there. Or was it 54. Whichever the max level you can be is.

I initially had a hard time too, but seeing this really helped:

There's some discussion in there as well in terms of mechanics and basic strategies you can do as a Warrior.
