Some thoughts to go along with my ealier /sign
From what I understand, most business works when a company gives people what they want in return for their money. If a person wants the crystals, then the gym bag is great for them. They can get what they want, without fail, and an extra bonus to boot.
But if a person wants the costume, said person has to buy something they may not necessarily care about simply to have a chance of getting what he/she actually wants, and a low chance at that (based on what I've seen in some other threads; one person spent 80 dollars and got one costume). It brings in characteristics of gambling, even if the actual item being sold is the crystals.
I signed the petition simply because the product I want is the costume, but the product being sold is the crystals + free bonus. As such, the gym bag is not a product I value. That means I won't buy it. If the costume becomes available on its own, I'll buy it.
I understand the route the company will take will be based on whichever method generates the most revenue, and that my not spending my money with you is only relevant at the point where the money I'm not spending exceeds the money others are spending. That's why I said earlier that I doubt this petition will make much difference. You will, and must, take the path that will keep your company alive. But for what it is worth, my vote is that costumes be available to purchase individually, as the ones in the past have been. I am your customer. That's what I want.
Ah well, at least they're tradeable. Too bad I spent all my gold on T13 gear and enchanting it lol.
