Its pretty much the same dude, most people just turn LFG off and stick to guild chat. I've met some pretty friendly people on the way in BC tho. I got some random 60 add me to his friends list the other day, and asked if myself and my partner needed a hand with any BAMs or dungeons because he simply saw us running around in Allemanthia, There are still good people out there, but in all the MMO's i've played, they're few and far between.

Your best bet is to find a friendly guild, or forever have your chat log spammed with rubbish. I'm not going to give you the typical guild recruitment dribble, but if you play around the oceanic time-zone, We Dont Like You Either could be the community you're looking for.
