Maybe I am not the only one who thinks doing mindless questing is boring?
I tried doing group quests but it's really reallyslower (instanced dungeons, BAMs, etc..)
It's all a matter of preference. Some people didn't like mindlessly grinding the same monsters in the same location for hours and hours just for 1-2 levels, where the combat was so dull that melee would literally go AFK while fighting as they slowly generated enough of their resource to use a single weapon skill like in FFXI.
FFXIV 2.0 does look promising though, maybe you should wait for that.
Lol, I think I know which boss you are talking about, the one that's floating and surrounded by those disks...? I saw him on Dragonfall and tried to attack him to see what he did... >_> He did nothing, and my attacks passed through him lol. I tried attacking a normal BAM with the same model in a different zone and that worked just fine. xD I wonder if you have to activate him or something...
Oh, and there are no channels to switch to in the Argon zones. I think that has something to do with Nexus.
My group was just about to pop a room of trash mobs in Sky Garden and I got booted. ;_; Oh, and I was healing...
No offense, but just because "back in the day" you did it a certain way, doesn't mean everyone from there on after should have to do it the same way. Back in the day my, my grandmother had to walk for miles and miles to get to work. Should I have to walk just because she did? Nope, I have a car. Games evolve over time just as technology does. It's the way of the world. Welcome.
As a healer, the level 20 dungeon queue was 20-30 mins but the level 30 dungeon is about 15 minutes... or it was last night for me.
Either way, loving the dungeon finder!
I don't see how a currency system that's been around since before WoW makes it more like WoW but overly dramatic "omg I think im gonna ask for a refund!" posts like this remind me of the WoW forums, that's for sure. :)
