Elder Scrolls games are kinda tailored for a single-player experience. While I would've appreciated co-op in Daggerfall and Morrowind, that's as far as I'd go. I don't think an MMO would work out at all.
It's usually a good idea to disable area chat in the starting island.
Also, area chat is considered OOC; I heard somebody say that trying to RP in that is the same as trying to RP in trade chat of World of Warcraft.
I only see it that bad in the Island of Dawn; elsewhere, people are MUCH more polite.
EDIT: It's in every server, not just Celestial Hills.

I find Steam much more useful than 'garbage bloatware'. Many of the games I have and friends I've met today, I wouldn't have without it.
Unfortunately, you can't block all gold spammers, now and forever, with a press of a button.
On the other hand, it isn't much hassle just to block them, and if you take the time to report them for real money trading, there'll be even less in the future.

((Quick question regarding OOC since it's a heavy RP guild and all; is it alright to be talking in OOC in guild chat? I positively love roleplaying and do it all the time, but I also like to have conversations in places like the area chat that are OOC. Thanks.))
