Rule are being broken. Many of those topics have just turned outright abusive. It doesn't bode well that these are the type of people we'll be forced to play with as there is no recourse for their actions.
Harsh moderation always leads to harsh backlashes, and rifts between EME and the community are not what we need right now. So long as actual rules are not broken in the threads, having them there is better than deleting and banhammering every elin thread to be made. I agree that the sub-forums need to be put in place, but I'm sure its a work in progress.

Technomancer's feedback is far more constructive than yours, Fatwa. All I see in you is an EME apologist. These forums are awful and should never have gone online in this state. Even worse is their moderation allowing the forum to turn into a total flamefest with no repercussions for trolling and abuse. Do they pay you? Do you get a neat t-shirt or something for your services?
Developers promise things all the time. Soon. In the future. blahblahblah. This game comes out in just over 2 months. These forums should be pristine if they're looking to build hype. New people (as you so kindly pointed out that I am in my thread) who are semi interested in the game visiting just to take a peek at discussion and screenshots would likely be immediately and possibly permanently turned off.
It takes 30 minutes to set up an open source PHPBB3 forum complete with all the tools necessary for a forum to be properly used and properly moderated. Stop apologizing for them.

Please fix these forums. Take them down again if you have to. The fact that there aren't any subforums and such light moderation is just building animosity within the community. The fact that you won't take a stance on people throwing the word pedo around every other post is pretty disheartening, too.
The community in these forums alone has just about convinced me to cancel my preorder, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Be happy with yourselves, trolls, you've managed to turn at least one (non-Elin, btw) person away from the game already. Have at it, now. Go ahead and insult my character as you wouldn't understand people playing MMOs for a sense of community over OMG EPIC GEAR LULZ LETS GO PWN IN PVP WHEN WE RNT RAIDING WOW.
