What exactly has changed since launch?

Is enchanting absurdly difficult still? (countless failures under the old system after a certain + level)

Did they ever add in proper instanced PvP? ..or is it that boring ol' deathmatch setup?

Anything else of interest been changed/added/altered, etc?

Just do what I did: quit TERA since they are being greedy. It hasn't even been a month and they are already introducing a cash shop to a subscription MMO. I do not care what it contains, the fact remains that I'd have to pay a sizable chunk of cash to unlock everything from it. Things I THOUGHT would've been included in my monthly subscription fee.

im assuming the OP is of high lvl....prolly lvl 50+

and im assuming the replies that said area chat is the solution are low lvls.

being a lvl 60, yes i had no problems finding a group when i was low lvl, but as soon as i hit lvl 40, which was far faster than most of the other players in game, looking for a group took me 3 hrs, then i gave up, turned off the game, took a nap, came bak, and took another 4 hrs. this was all done in area chat.

even after being lvl 60 for a week, finding an instance through area chat is pretty much impossible. unlike other games where u have a place for all high lvls to hang out, TERA does not have that yet. people are still lvling and most lvl 60s are just using the dungeon finder.

and yes, the dungeon finder will ALWAYS say estimated time is about 12 mins. it doesnt matter if ur a dps, a healer or a tank, it will ALWAYS say 12 mins (or something close to that). it can sometimes take me up to an hr just queuing for a lvl 60 dungeon.

this is pretty normal though. but if continues to happen even after a month....2 months or even 6 months, its pretty much an indication that no one wants to play this game anymore.


The problem isn't lack of players; it is a lack of tanks.

Simple as that.

In case you havn't noticed, this game has a horrible community.


I see very few imbeciles in TERA. Only twice now have I run into any sort of issue.
Not a bad video. The song is rather unusual for it. Then again who cares as it was pretty well done.
Hope the guild has been doing well.

Far from pleased with how Aidyn handled me leaving Synthesis, but him and the rest of the bunch are good people. Pretty nice guild if you are looking for one.
I do not agree. They have it the way they do to prevent various problems from arising.

Secondly I've NEVER had a mob reset on accident.

I personally feel all seperate sets of gear and specs should be within the realm of crystal customization. outside of that is overboard. But that isn't going to happen. It's dissapointing, I already feel PVP damage is crazy as hell. One minute i Hit a guy for 2k then the next 20k. its pretty intense. and makes group pvp a desperate struggle to keep your back away from the enemy. but ramping up the % is gonna make a lot of squishies 2 hit kills (or in the case of a berserker .5 hit kills..)


If it were just crystals I would personally love that. It would still be a grind, but a small one, and I wouldn't have to constantly swap out gear. Just a few crystals. Like I do now for when I switch from soloing to instances.

I'm with you, I loved classic WOW before the introduction of res. Was nice being able to take shiny gear earned in PvE and go out and PvP with it. Then res came and all it did was create another grinding path you had to follow if you wanted to do both. Same goes for other MMOs I've played since then. God forbid you could just earn gear that would be useful in either facet of the game...


I'll never understand why so many MMO games feel the need to over-complicate things in such a manner. It isn't fun at all.
