Hello Frost Reach!

[Static Disciples] is a new guild looking to create a community of respect, challenge, and comfort. We would like to share with you our ideology.

To enjoy and experience the game in a team atmosphere without feeling penalized when real life responsibilities occur. No one is left behind. Learning as we go. (PVE, No Political Plans)

We are looking for more to build an atmosphere of teamwork, challenge, and of course, fun, possibly with a focus on scheduled group time. Altoholic? Great! Dont feel like you have to level that alt alone. (Theres always something to do!)

We are US based, however all locations are welcome. Radical timezone differences will impact play time together thou, it is what it is.

We are looking to keep the guild small. (Roughly 10-15max before alts) If this sounds interesting please feel free to inquire with your questions.

All backgrounds and experience levels welcome. (LGBTS) ((We are 2 G's if that matters))

Thank you for your time.

Genoshan
Eh, its not for everyone, but for those it is, here we are are, and welcome!

I'm a little curious as to the point of the guild. Is it an RP guild that is just accepting of the LGBT community? Implying all the other guilds on the server are not?
I mean, I have yet to see a guild that has any sort of problem with my girlfriend and I, and I have yet to see a need for a guild like this. Not to sound rude, but I'm just a little confused about the point of the guild. Maybe I'm missing something.

The same reason why groups promote Heavy RP guilds, RAID/Endgame guilds, or PVP guilds, another demographic for gamers to fit into to enjoy how they spend their time.

People: we made a guildlaunch webpage which includes our very own forum! http://fabelheim.guildlaunch.com/

I went to register on the site, but... The very first drop-down box was discouraging. :/

G.a.y
B.i
L.e.s.b.i.a.n
T.r.a.n.n.y --- THAT
No

You do realize that's a slur, right?

EDIT: Allow me to help out a little bit in being most welcoming to the GLBT community.

The "T" in GLBT stands for Transgender, not Transvestite. While Transvestites are certainly a gender variant aspect of the GLBT spectrum (and the straight world, for that matter), it's not the same thing.

A transvestite wears clothing of the opposite gender in order to gain some kind of personal satisfaction or comfort, but does not identify as the gender opposite their birth sex (see: Eddie Izzard). A transgender person, or transsexual, is someone whose gender does not match with their birth sex, whether in a binary fashion (male/female), or somewhere in between (genderqueer, bi-gendered, non-gendered, gender fluid, etc). Often (but not always), a transgender person will seek to medically "transition" to the gender by which they identify (see: Chaz Bono).

"Tranny" is a slur that has been used against the transgender community for many years, especially those in the transfeminine spectrum, though the transmasculine set are not immune to having this leveled at them. You do hear it in the media on occasion, but it's the trans* equivalent of calling a mentally disabled person a retard, in essence. It's better to err on the side of respect, and just use "transgender" or "trans" to use as an adjective for a transgender person.

That being said, I do not self-identify as a "tranny". I'll be quite happy to fill out the application once this is fixed.

PS: A transgender person can be straight, g.a.y, l.e.s.b.i.a.n, bi, or pansexual too! But I think this is enough of my educational crusade for one post, eh? :P

Fixed. Thank you again.
@Basitan,

You are absolutely right.

I will ensure that gets corrected.

Thanks
