GingerKid's Post History

If you watched the new skills video for argon queen warrior skills, they're getting another backstab, yes, it stuns - if you watched closely. I told you it was real.

Discuss.
You can't fight a guild which has no members online.
You can't assassinate a guild master who has quit for days straight (will not be online any time of any day for 'this long') to play FFXIV either.

Another thing is how vanarchs will probably not ACTUALLY be in a physical building or palace what have you... they are probably online every weekend grinding that rep every weekend so that they can reach a reputation for nexus which is 'revered' therefore allowing them to get that top end PvP gear or whatever. Still, there's always a day where the vanarch can get some 'points' or what have you in order to keep their reign sustainable and without getting mad players. Not asking for vanarchs to be online all the time. Just enough for them to keep taxes low and keep stores open. Not hard.

I don't like the wait if they do not live up to that expectation. I want pristine crystals and I want them now. I do not want to fly to Lumbertown if I get killed by a BAM. And the problem is how I know the vanarch will not be online during that one reign to open the stores and skill trainers so players have to be able to do something. And having a fight against them to overthrow them outright is impractical. Players currently in the zone should vote for a fight and if there are enough votes to overthrow the vanarch, then YES you can jump in your Ford Focus and do a siege.

"I hate this vanarch"
"Me too"
"WTB guild who can beat up 'this vanarchy: ______"

Actually a better idea for PvP.
Why is this?

Goes something like this....

You are a Slayer fighting a kiting class such as mystic or even you are having a hard time actually getting close to an archer or sorcerer. Or something like that.

What do you do? Distant Blade or Backstab or whatever else have you.
You have two mana boost abilites. One adds a tiny amount of mana and stops it from decreasing when you aren't attacking. Other one gives a small amount of mana as the point of the ability. That mana, however, the total mana you can gain from that is not much at all.

You can do distant blade, dash, headlong rush or whatever but what if you eventually run out of mana from using these abilities (you will not kill quickly using JUST this, don't forget ranged classes can get away, and quite easily especially mystics) so you run out of mana.

What does this mean?
No headlong rush
No dash
No distant blade
No backstab
You won't even be able to dodge

...Until your mana boost cooldowns are gone, which takes a while, long enough for all your MP to go from pressing your buttons.

Not as much of a problem with melee characters unless they are turtling with dodge.
This is not a guide, just some smart talk from some smart exploit guy who lives down an alley.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Carving would be the best idea for your superior weapon
Full vigorous is best idea for your superior armor as the healing works as a passive defense, effectively.

Because a skilled mystic, or potentially any ranged class will kite a slayer to death if he can't get close. Best idea for getting close is having the mana to actually use your headlong/dash/distant blade/backstab.

You'll find a significant difference if you do things this way than what many 'pr0tip' people will suggest to you. BELIEVE IT OR NOT. Just do it. If you're good, you'll go from good to better. If you're awful, you'll go from awful to bad. Makes sense, right?
We expect vanarchs to be active and dedicated players. We won't vote for a vanarch who is not going to be online or is not going to keep ANY stores open at all. My idea is not practical or could use some improvement or better thought; but on the other hand, perhaps the vanarch system is a bad idea altogether, and that development time could've been used for getting BGs in at release or getting some other smart unique feature that isn't a political system such as this.

As I said about your 'abusable' posts, the system should be strict in a way which I haven't gone into much detail about since I thought of this idea on the spot and made it up as I went along. Certain rules for this such as vanarch is setting incredibly high taxes or has all stores closed for an extended period of time compared to the actual time you spend as vanarch of your area.

You don't have to play the game much to sustain your stores or keep taxes low. You can play small every day or every other day or spend one day getting all your points and what not so that you can go play your other game without your reign getting ugly. Leaving abruptly like that is a terribad idea and the vanarch I have has done nothing to make sure people are satisfied before leaving to play FFXIV.

Problem is, if the political system, say, never changes... this will happen again for other areas and it is just very annoying. Two rules I thought of, still abusable?

It is a suggestion I want to post to enmasse. Goes something like this....

A vanarch guild sets taxes higher than any other vanarchs
OR
A vanarch guild leader closes stores because they are either a bad vanarch or inactive.

If this happens, the guild's vanarchy status should go from something like
'Secure' to 'At Risk'
Once they are 'At Risk', players who are in that zone may vote their 'opinion' of the vanarch as either GOOD or BAD, and the members of that vanarch guild, obviously, should not be able to do that sort of voting at that time.

A certain number of people during that vanarch's reign vote them as GOOD, then they stay.
A certain number of people during that vanarch's reign vote them as BAD, then their position is vulnerable.

The guild's position has been voted as BAD enough times for them to be vulnerable. One of the people who voted for the guild to be overthrown then must donate money to another vanarch guild to help them overthrow the baddie.
For less than a day, probably around 12 hours, the vanarch who is helping to overthrow is at war with the baddie vanarch guild. If in that 12 hours, the baddie wins, their reign of terror can remain. And so forth.
Let's say we have an inactive vanarch guild and nobody is playing. Nobody dies and nobody gets any kills, then after the 12 hours, the vanarch guild will lose their status as vanarch and the vanarch guild who was at war with the baddie will be able to control that area too.

At first glance, this would mean angry players wouldn't be flying to Lumbertown every few hours they die for crystals or skill training. Second glance this adds some realism to the game. And not only will it do that, it will give vanarch guilds a chance to rule over multiple areas.

I want to know if this is worth suggesting to enmasse. I'm sick of waiting a long while for elections to come in and I want to be able to get bad vanarchs out of the way outright. I'm levelling in Tulufan place right now and we have a vanarch who has quit TERA temporarily or not we don't know, to play Final Fantasy 14 which is terribad.

It was thought up on the spot. Do not hate. It is a rough outline of the idea I am thinking and may need improvement or deeper thinking, however this is what the basic suggestion is. If you agree with this, I can confidently suggest to enmasse about it. Don't hate. Do not hate.
That just... really, does not sound good.

Queen of Argon Part 2 is going to be around at some point, I think. And it it is going to buff Warriors HUGELY.
1. Smokre Aggressor Backstab
Not only does this work as a normal Warrior backstab, it summons a shadow warrior. Are we really heading toward this? Slayers are overpowered now... but a class with 2 backstabs... it can't happen.
2. Cross Defense
Warrior block. Not too much of a problem for PvP against them.
3. Rupture
When Warrior has 5 edge stacks, Warrior uses the edge points to 'explode' and debuff the enemy to take 25% more damage from attacks. More stacks = more damage. Could cause problems in PvP if it is unpredictable.

Someone told me ingame that Queen of Argon Part 2 is coming to Korean game is it coming here? Are Warriors going to be buffed that hard? I'm fine with Block, not sure about Rupture and very worried about Warrior 2nd backstab.

Are they going to get another backstab? that is all I care about. This is so that I know if I should reroll Warrior ASAP. Please tell me enmasse isn't heading the same way as Korean TERA.

So I wonder when some enmasse guy is going to come along and notice 103 posts of rage about how horrible Reflect is and then finally realize that yes - it should be removed.
Castanic and High Elf get leopard print gear at some point. It is not cool and it is not funky. It is not nice to look at and it makes me feel depressed. Please get rid of male leopard print and replace it with plain fur or more leather.
I'd let a 13 or 14 year old play if I knew they were mature enough. The lovely statues in this game, blood, etc is not a problem and the kiddies today are much more mature and can handle that sort of thing.

What is a concern is with the chatting basically. It's an M-rated game but I see many stupid trolls trolling in LFG chat etc and that is what the kiddies can't handle is that they'll get sucked into it and get banned from the game is the real concern because that means all that money thrown onto a game just for it to get taken away.

You should be sure that the kiddies know how to socialize amongst the stupid chat you can get in this game so that you don't waste your money. I joined WoW at age 11 when BC was released so I'm 17 and back then I was trolling and I got a few warnings and a suspension at one time. This person you speak of is 15, however, he should be fine.

Unfortunately PvP will never be balanced. that's why let sleeping dogs lie. Whatever nerf they do will make the next thing OP.

You mentioned in another post you made that Reflect is actually making the game unbalanced so effectvely we're saying that getting rid of Reflect would make the game more balanced, which is a good thing, yet you contradict yourself in saying that it would make something else OP. Please elaborate.
