GreenEyedMonster's Post History

First off, this game JUST GOT RELEASED, so, by default, it will not have everything you ever dreamed of in an MMO - but they are working on it.

It's been out for almost two years now in Korea.

And if you are expecting a miracle patch that will fix all the games problems... you haven't been into non-triple A MMO's in the past. Much more reputable companies didn't pull MMO's out of the fire, and EME(or BHS for that matter) most likely won't with this one. They are a fresh company who is trying to survive after being held up in court for a massive intellectual property suit.

They rushed out an unfinished game to recover. As much as I enjoy Tera, you have have to be realistic about what it is.

So you want tanking to be like WoW, where tank just sits there and keeps aggro 100% of the time while making sandwichs. No thanks, i'll pass.

Rabid fanboys like you who instantly jump to WoW as their go-to cop out statement are the reason the community is so bad in this game.

So in a multiplayer game, people who insist on treating it as a single-player game somehow hit a dry spot around lvl 52. Which would never have happened if they treated this game like a multiplayer game.

I admit, I can't really see the need to fix anything here. Seems to be working as intended.

There is no punishment, they both offer the same leveling speed. Just one gets to the hurdle faster and crosses it slower, while one approaches it a slower speed, but steadily crosses it.

They get there at near the same time.

There is an intense pacing problem either way.
Remember, it's a 14% increase from the low number AFTER they lost tons of Subs.

For a huge patch release, it isn't that impressive unfortunately and does not bode well for the game.

You will usually run out of quests around level 52 or so due to how exp scales with levels.(Exp to level jumps greatly at certain points as do the appropriate level of monster. So 2-3 monster kills from current level mobs could equal as much as a quest from 2-3 levels ago)

Unless you literally do every single BAM quest or run a few dungeons many many times, you will find gaps where questing is non-existent. You have to do a lot of group content to stay ahead of the curve(which slows down leveling too ironically)I think Tera screwed up a bit with the pacing of the game post 46 or 47.

It hasn't actually seemed bad to be up untill this point, and I don't think it's bad now.

If I had a guild at the earlier levels, I likely would of had those BAM quests completed, maybe no xp for the actual kills, but I would of had the quest xp and that likely would of finished me up. :)

I'm sure I also missed a quest or to in the Jagged Coast area (not sure...but I might have, it's the only area Im not sure if I completed all the camps).

Also, doesn't grouping give added xp? I've soloed a lot of my quests.

Missing a quest in jagged coast wouldn't put you too far behind at that level. One or two monster kills at level 49-50ish is worth a level 35 quest worth of exp.

Grouping slows you down, but if you can hop into groups and quickly complete bam/dungeon quests, its worth it. But otherwise, it's faster to quest in order to level. One way or another the game WILL slow you down. If you solo too much(you level quicker this way), you run out of quests at 49-52 area. If you group, you will level much slower at lower levels. It doesn't matter which way you go.

You can level slowly yet steadily level by running dungeons a lot(hence never running out of quests) or you can solo level up to 49-52 very quickly, but you hit a massive road block in quests(in which slow and steady people will eventually catch up to you but not necessarily pass you)

Personally, I solo'd my way up on my second character then just spammed dungeons until I caught up to the questing. 50-58 is probably the worst part of the game. It's like they artificially inflated this area to slow down leveling speed. It hurts the fun factor.

You sound like the type who would be happy no matter what you played. While this game is fun, it is still one of the most end game grind intensive games out there along with the most convoluted RNG system ever conceived.

The game is fun, but getting gear and progressing is soul crushing. It's not soul crushingly hard... there is just a lot of artificial time sink inflation.

Until July 2nd, the skin is still only 1625, which is roughly 12 dollars.

Afterwards it will go up to the equivalent of $24.

Actually do some research before you lie next time please, thanks.

Thinking of buying it and i like how the fighting works but i want to know if its worth my money and monthly money.

I like to know whats the best part of the game ?
and
whats the worst part of it?

best mmo on a saturated market right now
worst -FORUM COMMUNITY- ive ever seen

You realize that you are one of the biggest contributors to the forums being poor right? You troll both fanboys and haters alike and all the grey areas inbetweem.

@OP Do the 7 day trial. The game is at it's most fun from level 30-45 or so, but after that it goes down hill. It's the fault of the gaming company slacking off after getting the combat right. The combat in this game is amazing, but they completely failed in every other aspect.

The game is very unfun to play at high levels due to lack of content and how gear based everything becomes.(And getting gear in this game is probably the biggest RNG gamble I've ever seen) BUT the pvp is stellar if you don't mind people whining at you for killing them.
I think a game is doing something very wrong when players are resorting to their own methods just to enjoy the game.
