your math is wrong too....

7.7% reduction = 30.8% total EHP = 50k/(1-.308)=72254 vs Pure hp = 69232

Pretty sure ShikiRoa is correct here.

EHP = HP / (1-DR)

4 Boss crystals EHP = 100% / (1- 4*7.7)
144.51%

4 HP crystals = +19232 HP

Break Even HP = 19232 / .4451
~43208

So if you have more than 43k base HP, you should use boss crystals for better survivability. Also factor in what others have already said in this thread, healing becomes much more efficient as each point of HP you have is worth more with Boss crystals. If you take more than 43k (pre-reduction) damage total throughout the whole fight, boss crystals comes out way ahead.

Now that's not to say boss crystals are the most cost effective solution to every fight. But there's just too many factors to account for - and I'm too lazy.

So I decided to try my hand at rerolling the 2 bad stats my +7 Plowshare had. It had (+832) before, first time I ever rerolled it went up to (+870), tried once more and it's now at (+908) attack modifier. Interesting.

Was this masterwork? If yes, this is probably one of the last biggest piece to this new "feature". That means our MW items are not locked into inferiority...just more rerolling into locked stats to get a "better masterwork". Thanks for sharing!
Mine is 24719 with only the weapon equipped. Thanks again Tempest. I'll update first post with your statement about re-rolling multiple times and still keeping the extra bonus.
My weapon was masterworked before the enchanting process. A friends of mine was masterworked after getting +9. I don't believe enchanting has anything to do with this.

HI I SEE MY SWORD LOL. but no rerolling masterwork mods on a weapon dont decrease it, Ive already rerolled that pos weapon like 20+ times b4 i got the stats thats in that ss. what it seems like is that halps weapon got buged somewhere along the line since all +9 weps are ilvl 151 o.O

Hi Tempest!?

Maybe the masterwork bonus is just random then. Because another friend got his to +9 and got masterwork which ended up with the same higher stat. Each time he rerolled his stats, his went down to my lower stats. He rerolled a few more times and stayed at the same lower stats. Could have been just coincidence. Thanks for more insight on the matter.

If this is Tempest, would you mind doing one test for me? Take off all equipment (naked) and note your attack power then equip only the weapon and note the attack power. Want to test if maybe this is somehow just only a display bug, unlikely as it may be.

I'm going to guess that it has something to do with that item level changing. On yours, it is 149. On tempest's, it is 151.

Right, but the item level shouldn't be different in the first place since it's an identical weapon. Let me wait for another friend to get on to get a screenshot. He was the one who helped me confirm that stats get worse through the process. He has the same attack/impact modifier as I do now but I believe this item level is still 151.

Notice the difference in attack and impact modifier bonuses despite it being the same item and enchant level.

With limited info, it seems that once you get masterwork and then keep rerolling modifiers, your stats gradual become weaker. There is a limit to how much it will degrade, and you reach that limit pretty quickly (less than 5 tries).

I'm not sure if this is a bug or something new introduced with the revamped masterwork system. But to those who spent all that time and money into crafting and gathering the mats, please be aware of this. The difference in stats isn't that much, but it does suck to invest all of this time only to have it another layer of RNG separate those who spent the same amount of time and effort on the same item. This is the worst kind of RNG because you can't reverse the process (as far as I know).

EDIT: I am wrong. Quote from Tempest with the higher stat weapon

Also note that I have a couple of friend who's crafted mastercraft weapon is item lvl 149. Also one who is 151 but has same modifiers as my sword. My guess so far...the modifier % bonus you get each time you mastercraft is random. Only need to confirm if this value can improve. So far I can only confirm it can go down. Will need other sources of info since I am not willing to invest the gold needed to test this.

EDIT #2:

So the stats are REVERSIBLE - at least that's some good news. Now we wait to see if this is all intended but it seems like it is.

Thanks everyone for their help/info sorting through this.

someone on VoT please ask one of those people how their drop rates were for BT HM

We're 0/6 for any type of enigmatic weapons.
Didn't seem many people knew how to use private channels or even knew about them.

Commands:
Making a channel - /make (channel name) (4 digit passcode)
Joining a channel - /join(channel name) (4 digit passcode)
Leaving a channel - /leave (channel name)

Examples
/make DM 1234
/join DM 1234 (channels are not case sensitive)
/leave DM

Channel names can only be 2-8 characters. There are no admins. The channel gets deleted when no one is in it. You can have up to 8 channels. There is no auto-rejoin to the channel (please fix) so you must manually remake/rejoin it each time you relog.

You can customize which channels show up in whatever log tab you want by right clicking a tab and going to tab options.

Scroll down and you can change the text color or click off channels you don't want to see in that tab.

To chat, you can do /1 for your first channel up to /8 for your 8th channel just like /a or /g. You can press left/right arrow keys to scroll through each channel once you have the text prompt up. Or you can manually select it by clicking on it to show you a list like this.

(In this image, you would click "Valley" at the bottom left to have it show up)

Why use them?
- have a way to talk to group of friends that are in different guilds
- guild leaders can use it to coordinate with each other (alliance)
- event organizers can use it for tournaments
- maybe have an official 5v5 or 10v10 channel to look for challengers

Personally, I tried using them but without an auto-rejoin feature I always forget. Maybe VoT can be more vigilant in keeping an active /DM channel or /duel channel so we don't have to end up using /u and /t. Already seen a couple of threads about mercenary/pkk guilds so maybe they can make use of this too.

Also, if you use /location at the beginning of your chat, it will do a (point of interest) without having to click the map.
