Welcome to the real world, its worse out there than in game. When i was young and first started online games the community was great because we were all raised in different times. The internet had just come out and was super new, familys were close, we all played OUTSIDE and TV wasnt sending such crap messages. All these people you see being complete and utter [filtered]es are 25 and younger. I never see people my age or older (im 30) acting that way. We all were brought up to respect others, not bully, not say harsh things with the expressed intent of hurting someone.
I only see things getting worse. Until someone puts their foot down, it wont stop. There needs to be bannings on a daily basis if you go out of your way to verbally abuse someone, if you troll chat channels non stop etc. Trust me, you will get MORE money, and more loyal players if you assist the people in building a good community that they WANT to log into at the end of the day

I love having zerkers in my 5 man pvp group and IMO are arguably the best class for small group combat. I (mystic) run with 3 zerkers and a slayer. Basically its gg to the 2 people I sleep. Sleep their weakest people and the fight is over before it even begins.
Dont see why anyone would even bother with the chronoscrolls instead of buying money outside of the game.
This is the way I look at it. Using the games system I have tons of gold to sell. I have to wait for someone to put a scroll on auction house for me purchase which will then give me 1 month of game time. Eventually Im going to accrue more game time than I can do jack squat with. Also, why would I want game time when I could easily tell it third party and get cash in hand that is more more than a month of game time.
I just dont see where the PROFIT is for the seller of the gold. He accrues game time and thats it. How does a sweatshop in china or korea make money by just accruing game time?

This is how I think about it. You buy a car (Tera), it has all the features you need. The same dealer sells aftermarket parts such as a little overpriced spoiler, overpriced rims, etc. You are not FORCED to buy these, they are mere visual aesthetics that people who feel like paying for get.
I would not tell the dealer, hey its not fair that guy has a spoiler on his car and mine doesnt, why are you forcing me to buy your overpriced item so I can have a sleeker looking car?
Nothing you are buying from the dealer gives you ANY advantage over the same exact car sold to someone else who didnt want the premium package. Does the person with the premium package look nicer and can flex his epeen? Of course.
I hear in area chat that a game is supposed to have all features added for free. The designers had to pay people to model these items (as stupidly simple as they are it would take me 5minutes), they then have to texture it, implement it in game etc. All this takes resources and time. I also find it absurd that people say the whole subscription + cash shop is a failure of a business model. If it is profitable and idiots are willing to pay then its a good business model. Because it does not fit into your gimme gimme attitude does not make it wrong.

I wasn't being a jerk Kruppe, sorry if you took it that way. I didn't know it lowered animation time either. I had to ask why we had a glyph that lowered the cooldown of something that is supposedly instant. Only then did someone tell me that it lowered animation time.

I can say it is NOT useless. The ability to get that heal pet out in the heat of pvp with people hitting you has made a massive difference. You can deny that all you want, but you have to do a side by side test to see. Mind you, it ONLY lowers cast time after a teleport jaunt. I know the pet doesn't come out at the start of the cast because then otherwise it would be instant like it says. Currently you hit the button, these little white wings spawn in front of you and then the thrall of life comes out.

It says "party member in front of you" but playing with my brother, IN FRONT basically means the guy has to stand on you and in front of you. I was hoping to use it more in pve and pvp as a method of saving people on the fly, but its impossible. I wish it would do what it says and land it on the nearest party member in front of me.
Cant blame a game for the degradation of society. Every MMO has progressively got worse and worse because people think its hip and cool to be douches, to troll, to harass other people, to bully etc
Best community by far was Dark Age of Camelot, everyone knew everyone and there wasnt global chats. You made friends exploring the world and grouping up. Even in areas where there was chats, no one was ever anything but polite. The game does not make the community, society and its people make the community.

Something was off for sure. Made a zerker for fun while my group took a break and I couldnt block at all. I was holding the key and it would sometimes just outright refuse to block. And before the trolls say I had no mana, I had mana :)
