There is an awesome system for exactly what you speak of.

It's a part of a game called World of Warcraft feel free to look into it. This however is a different game and should you desire to play DPS and Play a tank feel free to make 2 characters.

+1
Basically like Gamble did, wish there was an edit button... :/
To be honest he gives reason for why he thinks the warrior is bad, which is much better compared to the usual "Class X is worthless, period" so instead of calling him a baddie just explain why he is wrong in his assumptions. He gives detailed explanations of why he thinks the class suck, so why don't all the pro's just counter his arguments?

I really love the playstyle of the warrior, and I really don't agree that it's a worthless class. I agree that some of the skills don't seem to scale well in PVP, but I don't have nearly enough experience with PVP to actually comment on it. I'm leaving that to the pro's.

Lol I'm suggesting that if you don't get hit at all killing mobs that are your level or above that aren't BAMs then you're either taking 3x as much time killing or you are killing mobs 1 at a time and being way less efficient than somebody who circle strafes, takes a few hits, bandages up and moves on.

If you circle strafe properly and use your skills right you should be able to take on 5+ mobs without ever going below half which means you should be able to pop up 2 bandages and be back to full and grinding in no time.

Just to avoid further confusion by my posts, I'm just gonna say "I agree with you fully", which was what I was trying to say with my first post. And for anyone who doesn't agree, please post a video of you being in the same scenario without getting hit, so I can compare the time it takes to do it your way as opposed to the way described above.
Oh no lol, you're missunderstanding me, I didn't mean it like that at all. Maybe I was just unclear. I was saying it more like "Yeah, slayers might feel more mobile at this level, but we can hold aggro well, even against a high dpsing class like slayer". Not that you could almost use a slayer as a tank, more like saying that we do have some good points basically :P
Yes definitely, it works really well. However since you're talking about having bandages I'm guessing you're acknowledging that you will get hit, even if you can reduce the times you get hit. I just want to see a video of someone actually killing packs of normal mobs without getting hit AT ALL. Since from my own experiences, it's just easier to get hit once or twice, but avoiding many of the hits by circling around, and then using bandages or whatever to heal up. Because if you're trying to not get hit at all, you have to play more defensively and therefor killing would take more time, and wouldn't be worth it.

Ok, sorry to point out the obvious to above. The difference is that warriors can actually hold aggro. Slayers cant.

Wasn't that what I said? :P

I loved my warrior the only problems I had with it though where.

vs.

The difference in tanking is almost nothing people keep calling us the dodge tank any class can just walk around poking the mobs and avoid 90% of any attacks this is not a warrior special skill to move around, but more imporantly is the difference in just raw damage other classes do vs the warrior.

The slayer in this video took less damage and killed it 8x faster.

I definitely agree, I've been thinking the same thing. At level 22 slayers are way more mobile and dodgy than a warrior, since they have the roll with 4 sec CD rather than 5 sec CD that the warrior, and other mobility skills like the dash. And their DPS is crazy. However we're only at level 22, so hopefully this changes at higher level (But after watching some highlevel videos of KTera, I doubt it). However, we can keep aggro pretty well, even against slayers so I guess we atleast have that going for us for now.

Warrior is extremely easy to play as long as you're visually aware of your surroundings and pay attention to attack patterns of whatever it is you're fighting. I'm not going to say I'm pro, unlike some other Warriors I have watched on youtube...but it is true, you literally should not take damage unless you are sacrificing your own hp to lower the mobs endurance with combative strike...here's a link of myself soloing one of those Naga Mercenaries, only took damage at the end because I got sloppy and didn't pay attention to positioning at all, and yes I know I should have used combative strike myself but I was trying to go flawless haha.

Also have another vid solo'n the Kumas.....no pots in either fight...gotta raise the stacks a little bit since this game has been relatively easy so far, though these 2 elites are probably the more easy variants in the game.

He was talking about normal mobs though, BAMs are easy as [filtered] to solo without getting hit since they don't hit as often, and as fast as normal mobs. For normal mobs I would agree with the circling thingie. I would strafe around, doing some auto attacks basically waiting for a good chance to unleash a skill, and repeat. However, I would like to see a video of someone killing normal mobs in packs of 2 without getting hit, because I can't find a way to do that effectively. Avoiding the normal mobs take way more time than it would just killing them by strafing around, getting hit once or twice, and then healing up.

So anyone who has a video of them killing normal mobs without getting hit, so I can see how long it takes? I don't want BAMS, they are easy and there's 5 million videos of them being soloed anyway.
