Queen/Dungeons can be farmed for the extra GOLD to buy them.
The Tax no matter what would be a 'small' price to pay they can easily get around by killing a few more mobs. Great advantage for ELITEs already w/ double gold drops/Rep.
.... I think you are getting mixed up. LIke very mixed up. Elite scrolls only will increase inflation, not decrease it. It is NOT a significant gold sink at all.
-The only way Elite scrolls takes out money is via sales in TB. That's only several thousands at most. You forgot that elite also makes you have 0 TB fee's. I'm positive that people spend more than several thousands in TB fees IF they don't have elite. Especially for people who play the market game, like me, having 0 fees is big. If elite did not give you exemption from broker fees then your argument would have something to stand on.
-Elite adds a lot of gold INTO the economy. You get can only get gold from quests and/or drops when you npc it, that is called gold generation. Buying, alkahest and cash shop goods do NOT generate gold. Thus do NOT affect gold inflation. (granted you are selling via trade channel and not broker)
-The only way they can add significant gold sink is if they add stuff into NPC's OR force you to pay for broker fees. TB right now is the highest gold sink. What EME is banking on is the significance of a few hundred gold to the average player. People just buy out prices because the extra broker fee is insignificant to them. However, in a larger scale the number adds up.
That is just the gold market alone. Items that are necessary such as powders will always increase. If EME ever sincerely worried about inflation, they would add powders back into NPC's.
Yeah I was getting mixed up lol I forgot what my initial posts were, so thanks for catching it:3 That's my head when unfocused, I go everywhere lol
I was going with Elite Chronoscorlls having a forced broker tax on them like they did before with Chronoscrolls. It would be forced on any buyer through The Broker, so it would affect Elites. Elites should not have the ability to bypass the gold sink from the Elite Chronoscroll or make it so you can't buy the Elite Chronoscroll until your Elite sub runs out thus you are forced to visit the taxing gold sink, since they are renewing their sub to avoid tax on everything else and the other benefits. Only seems fair.
This would be a better method I think. Last time you could only buy 2 chronoscrolls but still face the tax, now you can only buy one and have to pay the tax every time since it grants you more benefits. As for the inflation, that may happen and it's only going to keep happening until a gold sink shows up. Atleast with Elite CS through the way I suggested for it's implentment would a gold sink also arrive. My only concern would be, what happens to the way we renew Elite now. Would it go poof with Elite Chronoscrolls coming back or would it stay? My plan would be better if that othe rmethod through the website vanished aha
I'm wililng to pay 20k easy for elite, would actually even pay 35k, but lets say the avg is like 25k. That means EMP ratio jumps ~15:1....
that means powders would about double in price.....
Unless the avg is less than what i would pay easily, I don't see how it's a good thing for powder health...
The worth of elite scrolls to the avg person is actually very high, dailies yield ~2k per day, for 30 days that's already 60k gold in dailies.
Double rep and gold for nexus yields even more mw scrolls, about 5 per nexus run and if u save your rep boosts u can do both dailies and 2 nexus times in 1 rep boost. which means about 10 scrolls per nexus day, in addition to 2k gold.
Dailies and quests give you so much gold and is the reason why we have such high inflation. Your trade broker gold sink will take like 1-2k, but in turn you are introducing up to 60k into the economy per month.
Dailies and quests are not the primary reason for so much gold. There's no major gold sink. In order to get masterwork/extensive alkahest you either get it from drops, buy the extensives off the cash shop or transfer gold between players. So there's two methods to keep your gold and one method to have it float within the economy.
Losing 1-5k gold from the broker per Elite CS sold would be fine. It's a lot more gold leaving the economy then currently. Only way it leaves now is when you travel by pegasus or the gold gets eaten by the lower levels of enchantment. Every other method it stays in the economy, that's why the economy is messed up. Also 60k gold is not a lot. 80-120 bucks worth of Alkahest boxes and you'll have 71k+ gold within the day if you sell by the hundreds. That's 400-700 extensive Alkahests lol
This is why I'm saying a gold sink is needed, EME likely has people exceeding that and getting so much gold from it. I could have dipped 4-6 thousand bucks the day they were on sale and destroyed the economy. That would be 3976k gold, (Gold?)3,(Gold)976,(Silver)000,(Bronze)00 mind you I'm not accounting for me making the prices of extensives drop but even if that were to happen I doubt that would total out to be half of that number or lower which is still a lot.
Gold:EMP cash rates, Chronoscrolls did the same thing except without EMP being a variable of course. It'll also introduce a minor gold sink for people as it did last time as well. It forced the buyout option since it included tax fees from ever Chronoscroll sale across The Broker. If you want unbalanced, we have it now.
Wasn't their fault? Through all their communication networks(twitter, facebook, interviews, etc etc) claimed they had exciting events coming and we all should be excited. Yeah, my fault for believing Todd Howard. I didn't know he went to work for EME.
The last event may be an actually good one, so I would personally wait until after it happens before declaring things but it's fine if you want to set yourself up to disprove of it anyway.
I just don't see them coming back now that the game is FTP.
The game is F2P with an optional sub status with benefits. The only difference Elite CS woudl have, would be they wouldn't be in as high of a demand as they were previously but I also don't see a negative side to this. They would cost 1760 EMP and likely bring balance to the economy which is important.
1. The rest of the numbers have "+" next to each other, but the last one doesn't.
2. The number is presented differently showing a purple font with a sparkle effect on top of it.
3. There's a border surrounding that image where the other image doesn't get that treatment.
Uh-oh.
Would you guys like to go above +12 enchantments? Purple font at 14=the glow you get at 14 enchantments. This is a bright purple, pinks at eleven and there's a darkish form of purple from blue to pink. I should prob go look at the glows before scaring myself to see if the purple is as bright as color in the picture aha
Wonder what Alkahest will be required; Extensive! Somebody wanna turn my brain off for me so I don't see such things? :/
I think EME had a different yet more inclusive event for varying types of people.
Mind you the obvious effect would be certain events would be focused to a specific group such as the artists while not being applied to other types of people, then another event was focused on the ones who entered the contests from twitch and the one in-game for weapon skins, then we have the ones who do numerous dungeons and they benefited from the double drop and more so KN Raid but the raid was mostly for everybody else as well except me who does no dungeons outside of Nexus lol
The last event I have no idea what it'll be, probably an event area with tokens and things being opened to anybody for a week. Although that's just my guess and seems a good way to end the celebration.
