No1 argues with the fact that it's easier to tank with a lancer than it is with a warrior. The fact is, it can be done, and healers are willing to pull some strings out of their butts to accomplish it just to reduce queue times. And I agree. As a Slayer, it is preferred that I have a lancer tank, it's just a lot easier to DPS when mobs/bams/bosses are standing still while I put my damage into them than it is with a warrior which dances around whatever he's tanking. But i'd prefer actually playing with a warrior tank, than sitting for 2hours waiting for a lancer to show up.
The point it, @ 6PM on a Sunday night, which is usually gamers prime time I literally sat in queue for 1 hour and 45 minutes while spamming in LFG channel for a group for CR. Maybe it's my luck, but my friend plays a warrior and is having same issues with NT. I'm not sure if it's just lower level problem or is 2 hour queues are normal now. Eventually, when we get in the group, I ask players how long have they been waiting, everyone except lancer says they had to wait 1h+ to get in. Lancer goes "well, I just queued up". This is craziness in my oppinion. Not to many players want to play lancers just because the way they look at lower levels as is, making one the only tank is simply madness.

Slayers and Warriors are very similar yet very different in game-play and in their usefulness to the group.
Although Slayers generally have higher DPS themselves, warriors raise overall group's DPS with debuffs.
Slayers have more CC over BAMs and Bosses since they have more stuns and knock down more often than warriors, however, warriors can always OT (since u said your friend wants to tank, u may need to help him at first). Slayers also do higher damage to groups of monsters, they get passive skills for that.
Another thing to take in consideration is attack speed. Slayers attack VERY slowly compare to warriors, and it takes some nerve to get used to especially playing after you've played a warrior. Warriors with 16% attack speed are lightning fast. They also have highest HP in the game and dodge a lot quicker than slayers.
However again, slayers DPS is a lot higher than warriors. Plus, slayers are a lot easier to play than warriors.
All of that is simply my opinion and not a fact. I've played warrior to level 33 and my slayer is level 39 now so I haven't been to endgame and not sure how things are when you get there, although I do keep hearing that Slayer is highest DPS class after sorc. So, DPS wise - go for slayer. If you want a challenge in gameplay - go with a warrior.

Lol so many slayer haters here, I'm about to reroll from a warrior to slayer just after reading this:) Love it when people hate me. Although, i've never had a problem dealing with slayers. Heard they're fun to play tho.

Well, it's also the fact that people judge the whole community by looking at LFG or area chat. That's a wrong thing to do.
Well, this forum seriously needs to be restructured hierarchically, or at least more so.
For instance, Classes forum, simply has everything stuffed in it, when it supposed to look more like:
Forum>Classes>Archers, Mystics, priests, Warriors, lancers, slayers, berserkers, General questions>Thread.
Same with Races etc. It'd make things a lot easier to find and not have to go through so many threads one has no interest in reading. This is my main concern.
Also I'd like more avatar choices. It'd be much cooler to have male/female of every race (at least ones it pertains to). Looking into the future, would be awesome to make WoWlike avatars, where your avatar looks exactly like your ingame character, and an ability to chose which one of them do you want to be displayed.
