It's not TERA's graphics that were coded by a potato, it's the NA client. I played in KTera with the same PC i'm using now and had 50-60 FPS with Medium settings. Now, with the NA Client I run sub-20FPS on lowest.
All the Hat quests for Hands of Velika require a Rep item from the various reps around the game.

Not even an option on my Nvidia Control Panel. Using an older card, but still having the UI problems. I can max settings or drop them to nothing, same framerate with the UI up, and it triples with it off.
Andromak on 05/07/2012, 06:00 PMIts funny someone finally figured it out apparently the UI is basically flash player runnin overtop of your game and ur GPU is runnin at lower useage thinking ur playin a alittle crappy flash game[...]
Now that's an interesting find. Obviously "flash game" is inaccurate, but it does appear that when the UI is up my drivers (nvidia 296.10) misread the situation and do mistake TERA for a 2d application.
If you're experiencing this issue try:
-Right click on desktop and select "Nvidia Control Panel"
-Navigate to "Manage 3D Settings" on the left pane
-On the "Global Settings" tab change the "Power management mode" option to "Prefer Maximum Performance"
That should keep your card from trying to throttle on 2D applications at all. If you want this to happen just for TERA you can use the "Program Settings" tab and an entry for the TERA.exe.
If someone experiencing the issue could try that and let me know how it works I'd be interested to hear the results.

Nexus rep.
All the hats from the Hands of Velika merchant quests are from Rep items.

There's a mount from the Nexus vendors. It looks cool, all the Nexus armor/weapons are on that vendor as well.
The glyphs were available at 58, so unless they changed something they should already be around somewhere.
At 54, this is basically what I do every pull. (Mobs have a lot of health now)
Overchannel -> Celerity before pull
Fireblast
Hail Storm
Fire Bomb
Ice Needle
More Fire Bombs if it proc'd
Glacial Retreat towards Hail Storm to keep the damage ticking
Ice Needle/Fire Bombs
Second Fireblast if needed
Mana Infusion when it dies
This kills most enemies+minions and keeps my mana up (mostly)

Change channels. This happens if you get in combat with critters or something else, and you're basically 'stuck' in combat. Just change channels and it will be fixed.
edit: This also happens if you're grouped with someone and they're killing something after you finish a mob. You'll be stuck in combat for ~10-15 seconds, or until they kill their mob.
