They stay out. I let mine drop to zero and it did keep following me, it just wouldn't loot anything until I fed it.
I had this happen to me. The bigger mobs just keep summoning more and more of the little minions. I was lucky in that I noticed in time to run the hell away before it got quite that bad though.

I think they're broken...

Or just feeling very vengeful...
Personally I am not a fan of RNG bags, but I get that some people like them and are willing to buy them. If they continue to sell and make money you can't blame a company for continuing to cater to that market.

However, I am disappointed that items are being sold in RNG bags with no option to buy them straight up. I would probably have put down money for the silver/gold armor templates IF they had been directly for sale in the store. Having to buy RNG bags for the 'chance' of obtaining not one, but -three- separate items in order to complete the set annoys me. I see that as a waste of money, and I won't be buying them; I'll wait until (when/if) they become affordable on the broker or I'll not get them at all.

These particular bags I feel are extremely unfair because:

1. Unlike previous bags there are three items you would need to find in them in order to have a full costume, and
2. These items are one-use templates. Paying real money for an item that can only be used once, and having to gamble who-knows how much money to get them in the first place is a tad ridiculous.

So while I don't have too many objections to RNG bags in general, (as long as there is a way to buy the items in them in-store without the gambling component) I do not like the way these ones have been done.

I have been working on a similar site for a while now which has screenshots of the different armor models with details on their names, levels, rarity, etc:

http://www.teratemplates.com/index.html

I know its not finished and a few sets are missing, but I'm working on getting those up soon. I haven't gotten to weapons yet though; there are so many armor pieces to cover.

I just thought I would mention the site here as it looks like you're planning on doing the same thing. Maybe we could work together?

Did you follow the red storyline quest chain off the island?

The first quest you should be able to pick up in Lumbertown is a story quest from a guy near the fountain; I think the chain starts in Velika. That chain follows directly on from the starter island chain (which ends just after you kill Karascha on the island). You will probably need to have finished that one before you can pick up the Lumbertown ones. There's also a yellow quest that you can pick up from a guy near the bridge out of town (heading into the Fey Forest).
You should be able to use it from level one I think. I gave mine to my level 40-ish warrior just fine, and I assume it is the same as any of the other store mounts and therefore usable at level 1.
Oooh, want that lion... Its gorgeous.
Depends on whether you want to wait for delivery of the physical box or not. The Tawny mount only comes from buying a physical copy of the game. The Quick-start is the EME store bought one that you can just buy and download to start playing. Both 'packs' give you ONE mount that can be used on only ONE character (make sure you give it to a character you are going to keep and don't delete it to re-roll). If you prefer the lioness to the horse then get the physical box for the tawny mount.

To compare:

The quick start gives you the horse, safe haven scrolls (which are pretty worthless since you can pick them up so easy in game), and two jewellery pieces that you can use at different levels.

The Tawny one (physical box only) comes with the lioness mount, two gems which can be vendored for 1k gold each and two scrolls which can be used to reroll the stats on jewellery items (or sold on the broker for a good amount of gold).

Personally, if you have a way to get your hands on a physical box, or the patience to wait for it to arrive by mail (from Amazon for example), I would argue that the Tawny one is the better one to buy. The gold from the gems and the scrolls are a lot more useful (imo) than the safe haven scrolls and jewellery items from the quick start option.

You will get Founder status for either 'pack' - as long as you buy the game you'll get Founders.

I'm kind of looking forward to the game going F2P, even though I have reservations about some of it. I think it'll be good for the population and if they go ahead with the PvP content we're seeing in K-Tera, it could make the game even more fun. I like the way those of us who are paying subscribers now are getting something out of all this and not just getting tossed aside, and the way F2P in this case does seem to mean Free to Play (not play for free with significant limitations like some other games).

The one thing that concerns me though is the possibility of the MW Alkahest, scrolls, Spellbind etc ending up as store only items. Please, please, please don't do that. Personally, if that happens its going to be the end of the line for me as far as this game goes. As much as I love Tera I draw the line at paying real world money to gamble on stats and masterworking/enchanting. I know that masterworking is an optional thing and not something that is designed for everyone to have (and that's fine), however, another thread on the forums mentioned the removal of Spellbind in K-Tera - rerolling stats on items IS something regular players do (for example rerolling the stats on your dps weapon to get the better ones) - that's not something that is as optional as the masterworking is. There are other games out there that I enjoy and I will happily throw my money at instead; I will not spend real money on random chance like that. Enchanting, masterworking and rerolling stats on items is pricey enough with the in-game gold, never mind making people pay real money to do it instead (all assuming that the system remains as it is with the medium-low success rates).

And before someone pops up and states the obvious 'buy it of the broker then' - are there many people who really see those items being sold for sensible prices on the broker?

Please, give us another way to earn these items - even if we have to work our butts off to get them. Or, do something about the randomness of it all. Korean and Japanese players might enjoy the gambling aspect, but that doesn't go down so well in the West. If you're going to go ahead and do it anyway, at least give us a way of obtaining them in the game somehow.

I know about the horse ranch outside Velika - In the beta's there was a quest you had to do there in order to get your first horse mount. Those plants were part of that. They took it out by launch and changed it the the one we have now (just go to the guy and he gives you one O.o) but I'm not sure why.
