Kloor's Post History

On top of the fact, most of them would just chill in a camp fire if you did happen to have like a thousand people to camp every town exit, entrance, camp fire, in every near by zone in every channel. They WILL in fact just chill in there and /ignore you, then start rping with one another FOR HOURS, you'd eventually realize they arent seeing anything you say and will waste your time that you could be spending pvping, leveling, pveing, getting gear, getting money ect ect, doing this, while everyone else on the server will be going right past you and pwning the sh!t out of you b/c you decided to lag behind.

So again I ROFL@ those stupid enough to do or think that they can.

They will be the sole source of open world pvp when BG's come out. So when your out trying to zerg someone with your great gear, you'll hit a break wall and find no one, if you are some how successful in driving away the rp-pvpers. I feel like you guys remind me of that one dude in south park bar, "We dont take kindly to your types around here!" lol ignorant.
lol they are rp-pvpers, they rolled her to have a pvp rule set, going after them to "camp" them, you'd probably need more than one guild of 200+, b/c they will unite very quickly against anyone. That and its very hard to "camp" anyone. With the channels, not having to come back to where your body was... just doesnt make alot of sense with trying to "scare" them away, when your only really giving them what they craved and wanted from this server, pvp, I plan on pvping them every time i see them, and Im SURE they will sit at a camp fire and talk rp [filtered] to me, about being a ruthless bandit or something, and you know what? Im going to have fun and so will they. They'll write some epic story about how they were ambushed by a squad of bandits or something, and make me sound super evil and aweful Im sure.

lol @ "we are going to camp them off the server" comments. Do you guys even play the game? Do you know any of the mechanics? L2P.

I know it looks like we've generally decided on Basilisk Crag as the Unofficial RP-PvP server, but just to offer you some peace of mind about the future?

This might give you guys some peace of mind?

GM Yoshi: Hi, my name is GM Yoshi. How may I help you?
DZ349 .: Hi Yoshi, I have a question - I was hoping for an RP-PvP server before launch, but it doesn't look like there will be one before then. So, I was going to create my main character on the RP-PvE server in the meantime. But if an RP-PvP server is created in the future, I guess what I'm asking is, would it be possible for us to request one character to be transferred?
GM Yoshi: Yes, this would be possible for you in the future
DZ349 .: Just 'cause I have this really good idea for a character, but I want him to be on the right server
DZ349 .: Oh, great :D Thank you so much
GM Yoshi: No problem man

Umm... he's telling you server transfers will be available for those who wish to pay for it. Of course they will be. lol They are in every mmo. This server is the only one that barely gets to medium, the 200-400 some people on BC dont warrent a whole server to themselves, nor do the few and far between that would leave the pve server, to this new rp-pvp server. On top of the fact it would literally tear the small community that we have apart. They wont make a rp-pvp server unless the rp server becomes full AND AND AND there is a large expressed desire for it. Which really there isnt.

@Whycantdltera: BC is an unofficial rp-pvp server, for those who wish to have that enviroment and not be forced into a rp-pve server they dont want to be on. They have NOT stated they WILL be adding a rp-pvp server. I think at most they've said that they dont want to split the community that they dont have server power for it (which is a lie lol servers are cheap to get and maintain) and there hasnt been a big enough calling for it either.

ALSO. If your all together on the same server and you happen to get a rp-pvp server in the future, when this game does in fact grow (hopefully), would you rather be with a bunch of people your already involved with in stories, then leave them completely like they never existed... forcing them and yourself out of character essentially, along with forcing people who are involved to feel as if they need to leave the server too? Then there is a huge split in the community and both servers fail. OR be on a server with like minded people, who you know will go to the new server when it opens but will be equally involved on the server they are on?

Exactly. It may not be a rp-pvp server, but since when did we all need a tag on our server in order to rp? Those people just want to enjoy the game the way they want to play it (pvping), and there are plenty of games out there where there is no official rp server, that rpers come together and make their own. Fact. And those servers are generally a ton of fun.. The community is extremely nice and mature, they have their own community site up for the server, ID'ing all the pkers and pk protectors and so on. I love it on BC, I may not even leave when they open up a "real" rp-pvp server.

lol if the rp-pvpers all made it to JC, after it was mega locked down and all, Im sure they would have quickly left. Its an awful awful server. BC seems like a better fit for them. On top of that fact really, I didnt see any rp even once. On any channel. Probably b/c there are like 400 some rp-pvpers at most, and most of the time they are probably just setting up events with one another on their rp forums, on discrete channels where no one will get in the way and ruin it, and you'll probably never even hear or see them much.

Heck you may be thankful to them, after BG's come out, we'll have the only server with people actually out doing stuff in the world. Though good luck finding them unless you know them or something lol
Have a ninja just have a temp stealth, like smoke bomb throw down skill, would work for group members in the aoe circle, give it a cast and have it last... i dunno a 1 min? PvE it would break agro for when your in absolute trouble or when you pulled threat by accident from the tank (would also be nice for party members to run to you and get you to throw it down, extra party mechanic for pve basically) would have a 3-5 min CD, and pvp... well if you step out of that aoe or move your visable, your still hitable and when your hit it pops you out of stealth, It could give you a good defense buff and anti crit buff while in it, and say it lasted... 5 seconds outside of it? maybe even a slight offensive buff you could glyph into for that 5 seconds, but would have to sacrifice the defense buff for it.

Give them 2 or three chain abilities to use while in the cloud that give them quicker attacks or harder hitting attacks. Would be interesting mechanic.
not to mention, having a build in this game isnt going to do the job for you....

Bad player is bad cookie

Good player is good cookie.

No matter how often you replicate the shapes of the right "patterns" of the cookie, it aint gunna make it taste good.
I think glyphs (somewhat like talent tree's tho you dont have to take in the garbage in between) are all just based on what your going to do. Sure there might be "This is best if your lancer that plays defensively in pvp!" But your spec for an offensive lancer may be completely different, as well as specing for group play and solo play, pve and pvping, the roles you may decide to take in a group may change depending on group composition, so you may have to switch up yet again.

Same goes for crystals too, tho not as much flex there.

Seems like more money your just going to have to spend instead of your "This is my pvp spec" or "this is my pve spec" with talents. Having a cookie cutter is the simple idea that you can take this "tree" and stamp it down on anyone, and make them as good as they can be. But there are just too many different designs for each classes roles in the game, its going to be an expensive and inefficient cookie cutter purchasing spree!
Also pro tip, you might want to find a reason to ally yourself with everyone, before running off and doing it. People will raise their hands and beg for alliances from one of the few rp-pvp guilds out there im certain, just to protect themselves. But keep in mind, what your in character reason to ally with anyone.

Also Archage bump! its going to be tight if it ever hits US shores.
You guys recruiting? Got a website?
lol hrav, you should know from personal experience, rpers and rp-pvpers really just dont mix at all. We even had a server on conan that was the sole dedicated server for rp, that was rp pvp, and yet it completely failed so terribly they just took it out of the game (along with the rpers constantly getting driven out of the world to an unofficial rp server that was pve, simply b/c they wanted to emote fight due to lack fo skills and not be "bothered" with people like us, who enjoyed acting out actual events and having things be non-scripted and really over all, just fun.). I realize also that your dreams may be dashed to have rp on a pvp server after the "hard core" pvp server opened up and the events got "griefed" in towns in /say, but really your best hope is to come to BC, there are a few guilds there already willing and the other members of the community seem very mature and cool, very unlike the aoc community. Will be plenty of rp going on there and plenty of rp guilds who pvp there as well.

You should also know by now, rpers take their rp "serious" above all else, even if it means you (and everyone else around them or their guild) isnt having fun so they can enjoy reading their own writing in some inn or city, to stay safe from the real rp. Thats kinda what they do bud... it even works on the flip side b/c you know you would love to impose others to enjoy your style of rp, that they dont really enjoy. (but i myself always have, tho I think over the years I wished I was higher level to play around with you guys, by the time i got to 80 with friends I was smacking roq, aulwark around effortlessly with some lv 60 blues on lawl, so much for the servers best rp-pvpers. with all due respect.)

If you dont come over, I do wish you the best of luck before losing hope and giving up on the game. The server your on is low pop enough as it is and I honestly do hope you dont end up disappointed and bring some actual, real, interesting and involving rp to them. I'll be enjoying the game without the BS of trying to enjoy it, on BC.
