man u guys must love screwing people over ;/ every time u guys start putting times on [filtered] , i get [filtered] in the [filtered] ;/ so cant wait for another MMO to come out

And you dont think those other MMO wont do the same? If so then you must be new or stupid

Most MMOs that do events have them accessible 24 hours a day for those who live in different regions and/or work at different times. I missed out on some events during beta because I had to work different schedules, and the same is happening now. Events such as this with limited duration each day screw over many players in many ways. Bath/bed time for kids? Family supper time? Not everyone playing is able to park in front of the computer and have hours of uninterrupted time, at the specific hours listed.

Are people required to participate in the event? No. However, many will regret not being able to participate, and may view the game a little(or a lot) more negatively. People remember things like that, and over time those feelings may convince them they might be happier playing another game.

As far as the eggs that were removed at launch I never had a problem with them existing, and this event is rather insulting to anyone who fought to keep them in-game permanently.

Beyond that people need to suck it up since with the elections you still might not have specialty stores.

You just brought up the point I was thinking. There is NO guarantee that the Vanarch will re-enable the specialty stores. If fact on PvP servers I could see it being done to prevent any other guilds from opposing a well equipped guild, who's leader is Vanarch, for as long as the Vanarch's term lasts. The newly elected Vanarch could easily send out a message to all saying "Haha, you scrubs are going to suffer! No soup for you!"
No one bothers to because they are not required to. People spam chat channels asking about level required for dungeons and what the instance name is. IMO players should have to find and finish a dungeon the old fashioned way the first time, and then they can be flagged eligible to queue in the instance finder. Make them do this for each and every instance.

The quests that lead players to Bastion of Lok have them talking to an NPC that is extremely close to the portal, yet I have seen in chat people asking how to get back to BoL. This is a sign that they didn't do any lead in quests. They were out grinding mobs, hit 20, and clicked the instance finder. Require people to do the breadcrumb quests for dungeons before they can even enter the dungeon and/or make them totally finish it once before allowing them to queue.

I hate to mention WoW but they tried forcing players to visit dungeon entrances before allowing them to queue. It worked for the most part, except WoW introduced a randomization of dungeons via the finder, and people avoided finding entrances to dungeons they didn't like, so forced discovery was removed in WoW.

Lythos is correct in that players are lead to many dungeons by quests when they are 3-4 levels past the minimum level of the dungeon. This is due to all the additional experience we are getting due to the patches. Players are often entering dungeons for the first time while being close to the cap.

Expensive? HA HA. You want THE MOST? Try a Falcon Northwest Mach 5 with a totally custom case paint job. You can easily run them into the 5 grand range(and much higher) when getting full graphic detail painted on a case. Seriously check out their site and look for custom painting.

The alienware topic is just another way to troll chat channels and anger people looking for group. Ages ago they were an unbelievable stand alone company, then they were bought by Dell, it's that simple. Dell offers great monitors and the ease of getting a computer for those who aren't able to build their own. Some people want convenience of buying a pre-built machine, others want the satisfaction of choosing deals on part sites and putting it together.

I do agree with FranBunny though, no one knows the price of pride like Apple owners.
I think what the OP is getting at are the shared armor types across many classes, and the competition for them. In other words, they have a cloth wearer and lost armor to another cloth wearer. The reason the three types exist is so if one class in group cannot use them, another will be able to. When crafters make armor to sell(even though it's mostly for templates) they have a broader market base to sell to because of the current system.

If each class had it's own specific armor, it would be a headache due to dungeon loot tables. I'm sure many who play TERA have played other MMOs that had class specific armors show up in loot chests when those certain classes were not present. If armor is class specific and bind on acquire with no one present who can use, it is wasted. In TERA the armor system assures that armor loot drops will almost always be useable by someone in group.
Agree with most of what the OP said, just going to echo some of those points and not touch on some.

Experience Boost - I had concerns about the experience boosts the newer patches would bring us, and I see my concerns were justified. This game already had fast leveling, for people who make tons of alts and just want them all to be useful at end game it's wonderful. For players who prefer to fully experience a game world it isn't wonderful at all, as there is barely time to enjoy scenery or music before you move on. Many of the first wave of level 60s are half way to 60 on secondary characters. I can appreciate Korea wanting faster leveling with QoA since they have been playing for over a year.

Crafting Guild - When we asked for the Isle of Dawn crafting board and quests to be removed to prevent new players from extinguishing their savings we assumed that only the Isle of Dawn would be affected, not the entire whole of crafting. At this point I say hell with it, just reactivate all of the boards and the quests, instead of making crafters feel like they were baited and switched, like what Bioware has done with their MMO offering.

Lucky Eggs - I have to agree, if the loot tables were changed to avoid alchemy offerings I see no reason they cannot return.

Dye - If it makes people happy and stops the complaints I say make it permanent. I've been making vials of dye and haven't used any, no need to when items are replaced so fast. The only armors I see worth dyeing are end game pieces, and since players will be using those for a long while, I don't see why the appearance changes shouldn't last just as long.

Templates - Jackie Chan.jpg
Template system and pricing has always confused me, I guess it was meant for end game items, no reason why we should be more restricted on models than Ktera. Personally I'm for Blue Hole adding in an appearance tab.

Repeatable Suppression Quests - Remove the support token rewards once the quest is out leveled yet allow it to be picked up and completed so achievements can be finished.
So many attack skills advance the character forward toward the mob, which often leaves you too close and you end up with the OPs situation. I find myself wanting to move back during combat which isn't a good idea because it gives the mob free hits to your back.

This game probrably wont survive long enough to go f2play. It is completely pointless.

The only thing hard about it, is understanding why they even made it. The fact that you kids throw your money at these games constantly and then defend them like they changed your life is disturbing to say the least.

The creativity and magic went out of the video game industry the same time the corporations moved in and the independents retired on the buyout money. Now this is all your going to get is this same recycled crap and teenagers who know absolutely sod all telling us how great this is.

There were games out 25 years ago that were more interesting than this.

I can appreciate your view point as I've been gaming for a long time as well. What you seem to miss are in depth single player games, and no online game that I've come across has the feel any single player world can give.

There is a reason first person shooters are the most played online games. People love to brag about stats, real or virtual. MMOs have started incorporating faster and faster gameplay to try and attract the action craving FPS players. Story and immersion get thrown out the window for bigger explosions. Long ago RPG players wanted substance, now they seek numbers to post in chat.

I blame id software and 3D Realms for unleashing the unwashed masses upon Internet gaming. Quake and Duke Nukem 3D started the trend of FPS players wanting to compete with more than people at LAN parties. For a while Unreal Tournament and Quake games, along with the Half Life Team Fortress mod kept the uncivil types confined to a small space. Eventually though they began to explore the web. Some bumped into Diablo 2, a game that was fast paced and allowed them to carry on bragging traditions with hardcore mode characters. Warcraft 2 and 3 were active during that time as well, pseudo strategy/action games posing as RPGs.

My point to this is there is an evolution to online RPGs influenced by action gamers who over time switched genres. I'm one of the above, who ran around in DOOM blowing stuff up with the RPG and BFG. I'm too slow now for super fast FPS games where you have to watch all sides constantly. A new generation of gamers has entered the RPG scene who are bombarded in all areas of life to do tasks quickly as possible, communicate as quickly as possible using as few words/minutes as possible, are you seeing the tie to cell phone plans? These gamers don't want to read for hours to complete one quest, make it 25 words or less.

Also, the original target audience of this game loves endless hours of mob killing. I suppose if it gets rid of their real world aggressions that's a positive. People who have lived/visited South Korea say Koreans are nice people.

Personally I enjoy TERA, it has elements of action, adventure, RPG and FPS, and I like fantasy worlds. I've had enough of WW2 settings, as I started with Wolf 3D.

I've gotten kicked as a priest before because I am not a mystic.

Every time I play I see in chat people saying more people need to use the dungeon finder and stop spamming chat for groups. The reason people ask in chat for groups is because being from the same server and knowing what a group is looking for means you are less likely to be kicked on a whim after waiting through the queue.

Maybe the dungeon finder should be changed so that you can click check boxes of the classes you prefer to group with, instead of just dps/healer/lancer(I think BHS needs to look at creating another pure tank class).
Gray quests that are not repeatable are doable at higher levels if you want to read the quest text and so on, the money/items they give will be negligible at higher levels. The suppression repeatable quests are not for the fact they award tokens, which can purchase varying levels of gear. Unfortunately an entire set of achievements exist for the repeats, which are difficult due to fast leveling.
