If you have a logitech mouse like the mx518 or something, I recommend getting the setpoint software. That way if the game doesn't support binding to a generic mouse button you can always set the mouse to a keystroke the game doesnt use like z or something. That way you can bind the control in the game to z and then bind the mouse button to z.

Completely hide on-screen UI, a lot of people say double tapping ctrl+u makes the UI's poof but it doesn't make my chat window, HP/MP bar, quest log, etc disappear for screenshots/recording. Dragon Nest has it, as well as an in-game recording feature, would this be an issue to get? I'd love having something already built into the client to record without having to use outside sources.

You can do this by using CTRL+Z. It removes the UI and adds a TERA watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen.
I see where the OP is coming from on this and it is weird at first. But as soon as you realize that it isn't going to play like say, Counter-Strike: Source you learn to move with the game.

As a berserker myself, I found that running around an enemy without using attacks or strafe keys while they are using attacks works pretty well. When do you get behind a mob use your S key in conjunction with your attacks to hit them in the back. From there use middle mouse to realign your camera.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220140 Something like this would be good for ~700 dollars then you can just throw the rest of the money into a decent graphics card like the GTX 560 Ti or HD radeon 6870/6950 or similar. You also need a power supply capable of running one of those cards so get a reputable brand PSU like Antec or Thermaltake or Cooler Master.

Just remember that a prebuilt computer is almost always worse than a custom built computer you build yourself.

Its cheaper to build it yourself and the quality of parts is usually higher with more features than what you get in a prebuilt.
I don't understand this mentality at all. You're playing a video game, not the lottery.

As a person who played Aion on and off since release for 2 years I can tell you want I don't want in this game.

Do I want to hit level caps in 2 weeks of playing? No. Do I want mind numbing grinding that it takes 6 or 8 months just to hit end game content? No.

Do I want guaranteed loot from every boss for my class? No. Do I want bosses who have the possibility to drop no good loot every run so I have to constantly grind the same instance just for the hopes of getting a decent drop for ANY class? No.

A balance would be nice.

I really recommend the OP try Aion Online. You will spend the next 3 months of your life if you have other things going on to hit level 55. Then you will spend many hours in Udas/Besh temple trying to get some decent gear. Then you will spend hours grinding kinah (in game currency) just to try and proc a decent item in the total RNG crafting system. Trust me, you will thank the RNG gods when that game throws you a bone just so you have a bit of loot that no one else does. Then you can finally after 2 months of straight gear grinding to get your stormwing's set and all the enchantment stones you need for the set and then the stat stones (mana stones) you need all socketed. Which enchanting has a chance to fail as does socketing so if you do fail then you can go back to grinding hours of kinah for your stones all over again. RNG really is the name of the game here.

As for me, I have school, I have a part time job. I have plenty of things in RL that I have to "grind at" that are mind numbing enough. I don't need it in TERA. I'm happy with the current leveling speed. I know what I don't want and what I do want to do. I want TERA to be fun because of its engaging combat that sets it above other MMOs. Not because it shuns away anyone who might have more going on than just the game.

You have my sword.
I'd be surprised if you got better than 15-20 FPS on one of Intel's media accelerators. They are built for video play back, light video encoding, image editing and general graphics in a web browser. They are not built for games and will hardly run games from 2008 with any decent speeds.

I hate laptops, I really do. Not that you did this. But everyone I know gets a stupid laptop then gets all upset when it wont do this or wont do that and then get even more upset when they find out it can't be upgraded. I try to tell them, but they always buy the laptop. GRR
What kind of speeds are you getting? I normally get ~823 kp/s from steam but I'm only getting ~100 kb/s from TERA. Is it my Internet or the server's crouded.

Also if you turned off P2P sharing, I hate you. No really I do. Canadabros, I understand.
