Introduction / Guild Lore
Royale has been a part of this amazing server for almost half a year. Made by me; Lawolf and a couple of my friends. There were no standards or structure to the guild at the beginning, but with the help of its members it grew to be what it is today, and continues to grow to be better. Here is a video of Eziel interviewing me for Vanarch (when it was still out) to give you all somewhat of an idea of what I'm like and what you can expect of me:
"Whatever" was the funnest guild I've had the pleasure of being guild master too. A guild built on the notion of not giving a fk about what others might think, recruiting anyone that would like to join regardless of their level and skill. Royale to this date is almost exactly the same as "Whatever." We provide a fun, laidback atmosphere, that's driven by its members.
That being said, its pretty safe to say that Royale has one of the most awful reputations that can be built on by a guild within this server. That I can agree too.
A bunch of people have been wondering "Why did I make such an awful guild instead of joining one that is PRO." My response; to me, a guild is not based on how many people it has, the gear they have, or how good they are in terms of skill. It's based on how many people that are willing to back each other up regardless on whatever happens, good or bad, skilled or unskilled.
There is no one way or right way to lead a guild, but this is my way.
I founded Royale, but its members shaped it. For that I thank all of its members for making Royale what it is and what it will come to be..
We are recruiting anyone level 60 that would like to be a part of our amazing guild. Everyone in Royale has invite powers, just ask anyone that is inside the guild in-game for an invite. We have players clearing every instance in the game, hosting Nexus Raids, MCHM, KN10/20's and so fourth. We also do things like in-guild Deathmatches, Battlegrounds, GvGs, and the occasional PKing.
The fact that it's so easy to join Royale, also makes it easy for us to be taken advantage of. While we accept everyone, we value your dedication.
The guild uses teamspeak. It may not be an requirement but being in teamspeak can get you more involved within the guild than being out of it. Especially when we do things like Deathmatches, GvGs, instances, etc.
Ranks don't matter in Royale. Upon joining Royale, you'll notice that your rank will be "Guild Master" immediately. This is to avoid any drama asocciated to guild rankings. If you'd like your own custom rank, I'll make you one - Just ask me in-game! :D
As of now our only goal is to build the guild in anticipation for the upcoming Alliance patch. This is why we are trying to recruit and expand our core, to make the guild even more active than it already is now so that we can have a really active and involved guild from the start of patch.
When it comes down to it, GvGs don't mean anything, it's a flawed system that can be used to bully smaller or less skilled and geared guilds. Royale being a big guild with relaxed recruitment, is made an easy target in GvGs.
We use to constantly declare GvGs during every Nexus but stopped doing it in these past few of months, because they served no other purpose than to kick others out of Nexus which became pretty boring as we constantly declared every single day. GvGs are meant to be fun and when it came to us declaring during Nexus, most guilds would either not fight back or overwhelm us which wasn't fun at all.
This being a new guild and all, many of us are still trying to get ourselves geared and participating in nexus is one of the requirements interms of gearing yourself out to participate in things like GvGs to begin with, so I'd have no problem surrendering a GvG for my guildies to work on their gear.
We have set a new guild rule for Nexus GvGs within these past couple of months. We will not declare on a guild during Nexus unless we have reason too, but will fight if declared upon.
When it comes down to a GvG where both sides are willing to fight, we'll ask the opposing side if they'd like to group up and fight somewhere at a specific location instead of during Nexus. This is so that we can actually be able to move around and fight instead of having to deal with all the lag thats involved during a Nexus GvG.
Here are a couple of GvG videos to give you some kind of an idea on what our GvGs are like:
As of right now, We are not interested in forming an alliance.
I know alot of guilds have been forming some kind of alliance to be prepared for the alliance patch that's going to be released in the near future, but I'd rather wait and see what happens instead of plan for something thats not even out yet.
When it requires us to form an alliance during the alliance patch, thats when I'll change my mind but as of right now. No thank you.
If you have any questions or would like to contact me please leave a post in this thread or whisper/mail me in-game on Lawolf, Lawoof or Sixty and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
