My standards are that of someone who enjoys gaming for gaming, not for content. I enjoy tetris, yet that game has only one purpose, does that make it a bad game for lack of content? No. I enjoy gaming for the game itself, that is the reason I do not [filtered] about this game. I was never lied to by the developers or the PR people, so far everything they've said they were going to do, they've done. They haven't over-hyped the game to that of a game, oh let's say, D3. That game I dislike for the lack of content, yes, but only because the game was 13 years in the making and was hyped up so much by blizzard. TERA is everything I expected it to be, and more.

My standards are that of a tolerant man. If you can not learn to be tolerant with something as simple as a video-game I can not even begin to perceive how one tolerates the business world.
I am easily entertained, but I really can't find any reason not to like TERA to be honest. There may be hiccups here and there but nothing so severe I'd get angry about it.

One thing to understand is the only reason why people care so much about how the game could be better is because they enjoy it so much. Many of them are very passionate about it. The thing is, most of the people complaining and talking about how they are going to leave, do not even really know how they feel. They do not understand their conflicting feelings on the game. This is why people come back to games like Counter Strike or WoW, or even return to real-life pursuits, even though they can only ever say negatives about it.

The Internet generally makes people more vocal about what is on their mind. If no one complained about a product, things are either very right or very wrong. You see messages in LFG about how bad the game is from people on the back of a Nightmare. That was likely not the first micro-transaction they have made, and most certainly not the last.


True, but seeing so many bad comments on the game on the forums has to seem disheartening to the developers. I wish people would say "here is my feedback from the game, the pro's AND con's" rather than "OH MY [filtered] GAWD DIS IS TERRIBLEZ". If they structured the feedback in an orderly way I'm sure the community managers and developers would take a better look at the criticism rather than seeing someone acting childish.

The game still amuses me, enough to keep paying for it, but it's a themepark MMO and unfortunately it only has a few rides and a gambling table. It needs more rides and less gambling.


Now this is well articulated response that tells me what someones qualms are without QQ'ing, thank you. I see where you're coming from, and I do agree that it could have more content, but I think we should give it more time before judging it too harshly. The developers could possibly be thinking of some amazing DLC or even possibly free content to add to the game, who knows? Thanks again for the response.

It's really easy to just bash you right now. But instead I'm just gonna ask what is so awesome about this game besides the combat and graphics? I'm really curious as to what your standards are for an "awesome" MMO.


My standards for a good MMO? I don't have any. If the game can amuse me then it is good in my opinion. I don't care for graphics, or the ranking system, or how the equipment and crafting setup is, as long as I can play the game and enjoy it for what it is, it's good.

Bash me all you want, you're still the ones paying for a game you hate.
This thread is serious. I see so many people QQ'ing hardcore about how the game sucks. I disagree. The game is awesome in my opinion and is doing a fantastic job for a brand new production company. There will be more content, the game is only 3 months in, so I just want to say thanks to all of the TERA developers and people associated with the game for a fun game that keeps my extra free-time occupied. It's definitely a game I will keep playing into the future.

I'm happy they are working on the servers themselves, but I really do wish they would make sure the Server Status page was correct :\ I keep looking at it thinking the game is ready but am disappointed when I realize the SS page is wrong :\ Thanks for the update!
Server crashes and everyone starts complaining on the forums in less than a minute. Cool beans. I for one am fine with it and will just play on another server until they get it back up.
