LittleIcebreaker's Post History

My appreciation to the OP for their post.

I haven't played this game in about 2-3 months. I actually really miss the fun combat, and beautiful character / environments. However, every time I even consider coming back to Tera, the front page cash shop this and cash shop that instantly changes my mind to, 'Oh definitely no... I don't want to support a greedy company.'

If EME actually listened to their customer's complaints about everything, not just the cash shop; I honestly feel like this game wouldn't have dropped to only a few servers.

Sad to see. :(

I couldn't help but post a reply to this thread.

Many of you are stating how American titles cannot be compared to titles overseas. Here I'd like to point out you're grasping at straws in defense of this title, and you all should stop it.

The argument is so weak, because there are just far too many titles out there to say; "Hey, if they can do it.. why can't Tera?"

My best examples are Final Fantasy XI, and XIV.

FFXIV was considered an utter failure to the public on launch. What did SE do? Go Free to Play and call it a day?

Absolutely not.

The company cared about how the public viewed their product, pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and worked their butts off to make the game better.

That game has single handed reworked its entire product. Within the past year that game has pushed out new advanced jobs, a mount system, a handful of dungeons, primal fights (raid encounters) new weapons, and armor. Also the dungeons that they produced was not simply re-hashed monsters and maps. There is quality work in that game.

Not to mention the re-release they're pushing out in a few months for the PS3 as well.

The game was also free to play for around a year (with no cash shop). They didn't even want to charge their customer base, because they felt their product wasn't worth the subscription.

They also sent out surveys to -all- of their customers in hopes to keep in contact, and go the way -their- customers wanted them to go.

All releases (Japan, America, Europe) were within weeks / days of each other. (Personally I remember all releases being on the same day, but I could be mistaken.)

So to all those that continue to defend Tera, because it's overseas I have only to say this to you; "Grow a pair."

Stop defending this greedy corporation. This company cares nothing for you or your opinions. The consumer base had a HUGE outcry when the cash shops were first released, and many of us were ignored.

All EME / BHS cares about is your $. Not the quality of this title, and how it compares to other products. Face those facts, and stop bringing these weak arguments just because you don't like people outlining the truth of your chosen game. Tera = Greed.

GW2 should run great on that rig?

Lol sorry, I'm just teasing. My computer isn't the best by any standards, but I know its limits. This game should not be running as poorly as it does with my setup. So I decided from the beginning I'm not even going to bother to put forth an effort to improve my graphics situation with Tera.

Sorry to hear about your migraine. Your icon totally matches your message lol.
This was the easiest way to turn inventory space into a precious commodity. Supposedly it'll raise the awareness of your skill as a player. Keep an eye on the junk you have to store in your inventory.

In the end I believe this is just an open door to start selling inventory tabs in the cash shop. LotRO is doing it, and seems to be working well for them.

#include <stdio>
#include <stdlib>
int main(void) {
int i;
for (i = 1; i <= 20; i++) {
printf("%d ", 1 + (rand() % 6));
if (i % 5 == 0) {
printf("\n");
} /* end if */
} /* end for */
return 0;
}

I reiterate, RNG does not equal skill. For the developers or the players.

I've made this post in the past, but I'd really like to support your comment. Anytime I see an RNG based system in any game it really just screams to me, "Hey Players, as your Dev team we really couldn't think of a fun challenging way to test your skills... so we implemented this instead. It's hard, so enjoy?"

Just really a lack of creativity, and a fantastic way to raise the ire of your paying customers.
@Azulvenatus,

I'd absolutely love to show you example after example that have been posted on these forums demonstrating how utterly wrong you are.

However, your text makes me laugh, and I quite enjoy watching you continue to prove how completely inept and ignorant your understand of this 'easymode' system.

So instead, I'll just allow you to continue to bury yourself into being ignored, sad and alone. :)

And that's my last response to the weakest troll this forum has seen yet.

Anyways, fix the enchanting EME, it's really hurting your reputation at this point. ^^b

@Cleevage,

If this is the case (and honestly I hope not), then the game will absolutely and surely fail. Money doesn't grow on trees, and this amount of spending for an item that will soon be replaced once QoApt 2 is introduced will break many people's spirits.

Either way, it's lose lose for EME / BHS. The profits they've made may outweigh the cost of this game for that company, but the reputation that is being attacked will never recover.

They can always break up shop, reopen under a new name like most, but if people can recognize 'Knox' from Aion.. I think people will absolutely recognize names from EME.

I still feel a lot of this blame falls to BHS and the korean mentality of how MMO's should run. However, if you are right then really this company won't last much longer. Especially when real competition (Arenanet, Team Bloodlust, CCP (Vampire Masqurade), Blizzard (Titan)) begins to hit the stores.

MIT recently did a study that showed tin foil hats actually amplify the frequencies the government uses.

I know this is a joke.. but I'm actually interested in if this is true or not? Oh my gosh some people must be totally freaking out if it is.

Poor Dale Gribble....

Just ran dsl speed test and I max pegged BOTH upload and download meters so I know it's not on my end.

Geez, then I really couldn't say. It did take me -much- longer than usual to download this game. I mean if I can download other games in a matter of an hour or less at around the same size of Tera, and it takes me 5-7hrs to download this game? Yeah, there is a problem on their end.

I just endured it though. Watched some movies and did some errands while I let it run in the background. :(

At the very least, every time you fail when using a gold, your chance to succeed should go up a little. It is NOT fun farming for 6 hours to blow all that money for NOTHING in 2 minutes.

If something isn't done soon I don't know how much longer I will continue to play.

I can completely understand your frustration. As a level 60 Mystic, my farming capabilities are right next to a big fat 0. At least, I'm such a crappy farmer I haven't figured out an appropriate way to reasonably farm in hopes to balance out all of my failed attempts.

This RNG needs to be taken out. My biggest concern at this point is BHS's entire base structure of this game is the RNG. That's how they keep their players. Most Korean players are used to this system. You don't need to dress timesinks with silly feel good achievements like getting sets of gear, fun adventures to expand your characters levels, or whatever fun endgame I cannot think of at the moment.

So really to fix this problem, you're basically going to have to fix the way Tera's endgame works entirely. I just don't see BHS spending that much time / money, because some stuffy Westerners don't like to pay for a grind when they have enough Korean players to support their company without changes.

I could be wrong, and I hope I am.
