Here's the gist of it. I

f you want a game that you speed lvl to max and run on a hampster wheel for 3 months ...Rift, WoW, SW;ToR are where thats at. If you are wanting to be a competative end game player with cassual hours, they are the games you want.

Tera is super fast to around lvl 42 at which point it slows down. (still under 100 hours /played to reach max lvl tho)

There is no raids in Tera right now, altho they do plan on putting some in.

There are Nexus's

Im running I7 2600k @ 5.3Ghz@1920x1080 with 8G of ram and a Gtx 560 Ti and mine do not do it initially, but after playing 4+ hours they start to do it.

Also, Does anyone know why My game starts up in Wide 16:10 1680x1050 even though I set it to 16:9 1920x1080? Its getting annoying having to set it every single time I log in......

Greetings. I've been a hardcore MMO player for a big period in my life. From Anarchy Online to WoW and to EvE Online I kinda played them all. However, doing so I kinda got bored of the same repetitive systems that each MMO claimed to have it different but in essence, they did not.

Is TERA worth getting if I'm absolutely bored/disgusted with every other game out there? I mean, due to lack of a good solid MMO (I'm waiting on D3 and Guild Wars 2 but I don't have super high hopes for those either) I currently waste my time playing Dota 2 or Mount and Blade Multiplayer.

I'm looking for a fun game that does not discriminate A LOT versus casual gamers (I have my dissertation coming up and I'll have 2-4,5 hrs a day to play at most, however if those hours are mindless grinding and filled with frustration - I'd rather pass.

So what's your feedback? Also, is there PvP in this game? If so what type? Can you "gank"? Or is it arena style?

You will not be disappointed with Tera. The graphics, gameplay, and overall flow the the game is great. You are never grinding because there are TONS of quests to do. My main is 52 and I don't think that Ive even done about 1/5 of the quests.

You can play 2 hours a day or 6 hours a day and still enjoy it., I know I played first day for 22 hours straight and did not get bored with it for one second.

There is Pvp Right now only on PvP servers. There is GvG (guild Vs Guild) which your entire guild is at war with another guild, and every time you kill a member of the other guild means you get more points for your guild. Guild with most points wins. From when I played on a pvp server there was not much ganking except when ppl hit lvl cap on the beta and had nothing else to do.

Overall the Game is definitely worth buying. I have enjoyed every day of it. I have been following Tera for about 3 1/2 years now and I could not be more excited about it.

This lists a bunch of things that the game did not launch with, and we'd like an update on when we can expect these to be patched in.

Nexus.
Advanced Glyphs.
Reputation rewards - mounts and appearance items.

They are already in. At least the mounts, glyphs and appearance items are. I dont know about Nexus's yet

A bit more realistic.

Being closer to your target to do more damage is realistic.

Actually that is incorrect. A projectile does more damage at a distance than at close range. Ask any balistics expert. Now accuracy suffers the further away it is, but damage actually increases. Up to a certain point. It's called the tumbling effect. Happens to all projectiles, especially those that spin. yes arrows are designed to spin in the air.

Balistics = Bullets. Archers = Arrows. Arrows do not tumble, They cant due the the stabilizing fins on the end of the shaft.

Just sayin'
