Malamasala's Post History

Let me get this straight, you can google for sites with all armors, but you can't tell which tier they relate to? Or is the problem that you have poor google-fu?

I'm no expert at the game content, but I think EME themselves have some crafting site as officially accepted site. It is possible it could at least list all the looks of things you can craft. And if it is possible to craft templates, then perhaps you can see what each template looks like.

However, I sadly do not know the address by heart, so you'll have to look around (or hope someone else comes by and knows)
Does steam sell subscription run games? Or is this a sign that it is heading for F2P in Europe?

I've only really played indie games and TF2 through steam.

As far as Tera goes I really don't know about this game anymore. It seems what people suggest or points we try to get across just fall on deaf ears, and in the end EME/BHS or whomever just do what they want. At this rate there's not much of a future for the game unless a new developer takes over and does this game the way it should be done.By this time next year it should be interesting to see where the game stands. I enjoy Tera and care about the game enough to realize that it's in the wrong hands which is why it hasn't been pushed to its full potential.

I'm not sure whether I agree or not with this. On the one hand, they have done a good job implementing changes (and are continuing to do so). As long as the other issues get addressed (RNG, BG ranking, etc) and new features are added, I think it'll be fine. However, what you say does apply to forum moderation and response, and if implementation mirrors it, I'm hesitant as well. Hell, a calm thread with three well thought-out posts gets locked immediately, while threads openly discussing TERA's competitors goes on for several pages. Taking it to PMs clearly doesn't work, seeing as how I was promptly ignored (even a single sentence would have taken next to no effort). Anyways, moderator prerogative should and does reign supreme, yet it would be nice to have a clear, definitive strategy in doing so.

I'm not really talking about the recent additions I'm talking down the road. like future expansions etc. etc. changes happen in Tera but they don't happen fast enough. I'm just curious if there will be enough interests in this game a year from now for an expansion to even be developed because the game has been flip flopping. It was never marketed the way it should have been and it because of the way it was ran it ended up getting a bad rep from people who mostly just wanted the game to fail so they could push for GW2 or WoW or whatever. You'd be suprised how many people still don't know this game exists or what it's even about. It's just an obscure game they have no interests in because htey either haven't heard enough about it or only heard bad stuff about it. Marketing for this game was pretty weak.

Yes, I really don't want to point fingers, but EME themselves is the reason Tera isn't doing as well as it should. As far as I know, they haven't listened to a single complaint at all, unless it was something ridiculous like.

- Edit Elins clothing or you'll be arrested for child porn!
- Change the glow color because I'm so insecure about my sexuality that purple offends me.
- I can't find the "turn pet shops off" button, so please remove them from the game.

How hard is it to filter out crap ideas from good ones? Toggle option for Elin armors? Everyone agreed, except those who ran around all day and said "Pedo pedo pedo pedo", and you don't take such people seriously because they are already retarded. Glow effects should have been in the settings so you could simply set the pattern you like (or always have blue glow on the items you own because you love blue).

I am not going to go into the details of why this game will fade fast once people are level capped and people tire of gaining no rewards from PvP, but I will say that this is a great chance to fix all RNG upon RNG in Tera, GW2 will be very popular until people cap out. (ala SWTOR) and this is a great window for you to improve Tera.

Last I checked GW2 had about 10-20 armors from PvP rewards. Unless I missed something I do not think Tera is even near that in how many armors are offered as PvP rewards. I accept you are a GW2 hater, but it is a shame to see you hating it for reasons that are lies and slander.

Not to mention that according to your theory, people will only play Tera as long as they fail enchanting. If they succeed, they'll "cap out" and quit. And if you keep stating this to EME, do you think they'll ever change it? Better hold fanatics in their game by doing nothing, than changing it and having them quit because they only played to cap out.

TERA will be out for a long while to come. It will resolve the problems that have been highlighted by the player base (RNG, end game content etc..) and will go from strength to strength. Unfortunately, you just have to be patient as the changes can't be implemented over night. We know the developers are working on it.

The problem is lack of communication. Even if it takes 2 months to make a BG, you can still talk about it during those 2 months.

EME seem to be running roughly the same method as FFXI ran. Say nothing and assume the surprise itself is such a great thing it won't matter what content changes are in it. Truth is, nobody likes surprises in MMOs. Nothing stings harder than to suddenly be told that the expected Warrior fix you were waiting for, actually weren't worked on the 2 months at all. MAYBE it will happen next 2 months, but they won't tell you and when you log in 2 months later SURPRISE! not fixed again.

Really. It is so easy to run a MMO. You get one guy sitting on the forums and talking to people, and then you implement popular changes that make people go "Hey, Tera added this, come back and play with me now!"
I'd like to experience KTera in English. Only thing I wanted 2011, only thing I still want.

And cheap cash shop armors of course. I like paying for shortcuts so I can play less, and pay more, to save time and enjoy life.
Every single time, same lies to protect Tera. "The action combat is better than tab target!". You have lock on skills in Tera... you have melee attacks in GW2. The combats are 90% the same. The 10% difference is that it is a few more melee attacks in Tera and a few more targeted skills in GW2.

I have no problems with anyone hating GW2. But at least hate it for a reason that exists, instead of making up a reason that doesn't exist and claim it is a huge deal.

Same deal with the "all events are similar"... and all quests in Tera is not? It just makes you look stupid when you try and claim one game is bad, because of something that is in Tera as well. And while I on a personal level do not care how stupid you act, I really want Tera to be successful and worry your stupid comments will make people roll their eyes and leave.

Because honestly, after EME themselves, it is the community that is second best at making people quit. Nobody quits because of Tera, it is a great game. It is EME's actions and community stupidity that makes people just go "Hell no I hang with these people.".
Well, Tera's target audience is people who like sexy armors. EME's target audience is people who think it is pointless and should be more normal armors. Why they decided to mismatch their target group and game content I'm not sure, but they did.

If they want to remain #1 sexy game, they need more sexy armors. If they want to be #87 normal game, then they need more neutral armors.

Of course, nobody complains if BOTH types are added each content update. The complaints only come when a company picks favorite customers and then ignore customers they think aren't worthy of attention.

Another thread like this ey. Exciting. Next.

The people who leave for the Mists of Pandaria or GW2 had no taste anyhow. Bugger them and their impatience. This game has it's faults, everything does. The other two options aren't a peach either. They're both steaming piles of crap.

Now I will OCCASIONALLY CAPITALIZE WORDS to drive the point home. GW2 CAN SUCK IT, A LOT.

They actually have both taste and like Tera. They just don't happen to be EME's niche target audience. How do I know that? If they were, EME would adapt the game for them to stay. As they are not, it simply means all who quit were people EME didn't want as customers.

Clearly you never played AION or L2, the CS on them was alot worst and had items that effected your game play and was not just cosmetic.

You are stuck in the mind set that things you don't care about, is not important. P2W is not "worse" in general, it simply is the type of game that would make you feel forced to pay, just like vanity shops make others feel forced to pay. If you had the ability to care for others, you'd instantly realize that what you don't want to happen to you, has been happening to others for months.

And remember, almost 100% of all who use cash shop now, would still use it for P2W. Because spending 10 dollars on pretend item X or pretend item Y does not matter. It is money for pretend items in all cases. Some just happen to in addition to vanity add power. (Which vanity players in general don't care about, they just go for the textures anyway)

I'd dare say EME could DOUBLE their income by simply adding P2W items (like increased enchanting success) to the cash shop. Would they lose customers? Not more than they lost over the Elin censorship. Not more than they lost over the vanity cash shop. Not more than they've lost over enchanting. And since all those were "business decisions", then a P2W shop "business decision" seem like a good future step.
Support at Frogster was actually outstanding during beta. I think their problem is less the guys at support, and more that the people in charge are incompetent and screw it all up.

I mean, hand a person a phone and tell him to fix the servers and we'll see how well he does.
