Will EME still stay close to the community like it is now?

Will there still be Live Support available?

Can I get a military discount on Elite Status? xD (JK)

We haven't been perfect in our store offerings but we have learned a bunch and taken your feedback to heart. We hope to keep this up by trying new things, listening to feedback and adapting the next time out.

If you really think what you're saying, why didn't you listen to the community on the entirety of how gear advancement works in this game? People hate the enchanting system. People hate masterworking. People hate how you even acquire gear. Everyone hates this game, but still play it for the combat system (and because you can roleplay being a little girl.) You're lucky.

Let's see...

All gear is bind on equip/bind on pickup. This means there is no economy. Gear continually gets worth less and less until people sell it for less than the shop price. Retarded. If CRAFTING yielded gear worth using, this actually wouldn't be a particularly huge problem since you can crush gear into crafting mats, which would retain some of their value.

Enchanting to +12 is REQUIRED to be effective and completely based on luck.

Masterworking is REQUIRED to be effective and completely based on luck.

Visionmaker is by far the most egregious slap in the face to players I have seen in any mmo ever, and I played eve for like 6 years (I was a director in bob) L2 for 6 years and aion for 3.

Not only do you have to do every kind of dumb boring content in the game (forced to do pug BGs which frustrate me and feels like hitting myself in the balls with a hammer.), forced to do nexus which is boring, forced to do MCHM, and by the way I've done MCHM about 90 times and I still have no quills, getting quills is 100% based on luck and not at all on effort or skill, getting the recipes is also ridiculous. Also almost none of the parts for this gear can be traded, and the gear is bound on craft, which is retarded.

I don't understand why you think having absolutely no economy in this game is fine.

You know what would have been great? Before the QoA patch, made dreambindings and fanesteel drop from world BAMs (and gave the gear a base pvp bonus like nexus had.)

That would have been great, but the tera devs insist on only rewarding people for doing instances 5000 times.

I hate instances. I want to get my stuff from grinding mobs in the open world where I'm at risk from pvp.

I hate how I've seen nearly every friend (about 50 people) I started this game with quit because there is literally nothing worth doing except the same instance everyday, and only individual effort means anything. There is no way to work as a clan towards people's gear, or even clan gear. There's nothing to fight over. There is no content except MCHM and you can only do that once a day. Only 5 remain playing.

Oh by the way, please put instance reset scrolls in the cash shop so those of us with real lives can do instances as much as nolifers can.

Sounds like you're trying to pin the blame on EME for all these things when initially it wasn't their decision to make things the way they are now. Can they change it? Certainly. But I don't think doing it at the snap of the community's fingers is a good idea. Frankly, I was happy the 100% alkahest didn't go through. I really hope EME continues to make conscious decisions on development, what's been developed and do some real research on community demands and needs.

As far as enchanting goes, I'd like to see a more fleshed out system and crafting more fun to do.

Also, agree with the instances 100%. I hate doing raids and dungeons. In Rift, I pvp'd and crafted for all my levels and had a blast doing it. Open world and battlegrounds. This allowed me to do more than raids and dungeons and I always felt like I had more options. And I still think nexus should span through all levels instead of being end game only.

So this is replacing Vanarchy, or in addition to? o.0

From the looks of it:

- Vanarch election as is, stays
- Whoever's best Vanarch becomes consul

What I would reeeeally like to know is:

What differentiates a good vanarch from a bad one (other than all taxes low + stores open) and what can we gain/plunder from waging war against the other continents? Will it be worth it being consul? It sounds like a lot of responsibility. Will there be additions to campaigning like billboard advertisements, flyers and/or posters?

What does a continent gain from a good consul?

What happens if a consul wins all 3 continets, can we rebel? Can we rebel anyway after elections are over? Are they called the emperor? Can we build a deathstar? Where do we fight? Is this in the open world areas that already exist or are they new areas?

Are the new areas only for the RvR or do they have other purposes so the RvR can be spontaeneous and not a timed zerg like nexus?

Just a few questions :x

It would be nice if being on a certain continent held any importance even as a normal player. Why should I really care if an awesome Consul was in Arun when I'm 60? It would be awesome if there was an actual threat/risk/reward kind of thing going. Like if the Consul of Southern Shara unleashed an army invasion on Northern Shara, or something.

People do read what they write but time passes and people want updates. Some people may also have forgotten what was said. Regular communication of some kind is important so players know what's going on. You can't change people and you can't make people act a certain way. If players want to complain after a while they are going to do it. What you can do is adapt to that.

I suppose you're right. Though, honestly, there has been more than enough heads up and updates in my opinion. Communication has been fine; though, looking at EME's post history, it seems they are more hard pressed on moderating the forums of unruly posters instead of being able to get constructive feedback. Oh well.

Guess I'll enjoy the ride until it ends.

WTF are you talking about?

That's not the goddess Elinu, that's just an image of an elin lancer dreaming of new strategies to lead her party to victory.

Pls push the 3v3 patch until I can get +12 Conjunct. k thanks..

In all seriousness, though posts like that make a difference to people. Even though everyone wants updates as fast as possible and will likely continue to complain, little bits of communication go a long way with most folks. :)

Thing is, this isn't the first time he's said this. In fact, they have said alot of things over and over and people either aren't paying attention to the details or their words are being misinterpreted.

Minea has reminded people plenty of times that EME had NO PLANS (take that as you will) to go F2P any time soon. Knoxx and Chager has explained numerous times how content is pushed out and how they plan to push it out with all the intricacies involved and I just can't believe how many people just don't get it.

Has no one read the producer letters?

Also, my only thing as far as Minea's words of wisdom and random tidbits of info goes is that she doesn't make a thread on them herself sometimes. So sometimes the info she gives is still obscured. Actually, she's not the only one who does this though.

More people trying to solve social problems with code (buffs to class)

Solve the social problem with beahvior changes. Hint: Become more social and make more friends.

Do you have a Mystic?

I do, and I more or less agree with both of you.

Most people who complain about issues such as the Mystic never even give constructive criticism about this. Such as the problem, and constructive ideas on how to solve them. If you think EME won't listen to us, then I suggest you think again, because the current enchanting formula came from ideas on the forum.

Also, I think this topic is on the wrong board.

Yes, big year especially if Blade and Soul, Archeage will have release lol

Is Archeage coming out for sure next year? TERA was supposed to be my filler until that game released. I was very unimpressed with Blade and Soul between the trailers of a few years ago until trying it out myself. :(
4 months sounds reasonable. Around as much content as Rift does if anything. Whether it's consistent or not is another thing though, but I'm willing to believe in what Chager has said about the plans for TERA. Hopefully next year will be big for TERA.

You have to be 17 to buy the game dude.

also, the Q&A already stated that no new class is planned or predicted any time soon or ever, so don't bother ever suggesting them

Somebody posted a thread awhile back that was a general timeline of Tera's progression back during, I think, Korean launch; which mentioned a ninth class. Though that's something I'd definitely take with a grain of salt because it seems like all BHS is pumping out is cash shop costumes and minor patches instead of huge content updates.

Yeah, I saw that too. But things change as well, obviously.

And we had a QoA2 update recently. So how often should we get "huge updates"? Every month?
