I got 2nd place on my zerk during my third match. 10 kills, 4 deaths, can't remember how many assists. I was so proud of myself...

...... That doesn't make sense. How can the system be the one that's the problem when you're the one determining the tax rates?
Well it takes a couple minutes before someone else can loot his drops. I don't know how your boyfriend does things, but that's A LOT of mobs that you have to go through before the first couple items start becoming FFA.
While the whole name-calling, etc could have been avoided, I see this as your boyfriend's fault. The game's already given him a grace period to pick up stuff, and he doesn't bother to pick it up. I kill one batch, grab what I want, move on the to the next batch. Killing dozens of mobs before grabbing anything is just asking for 1) people to loot your stuff and 2) your items start disappearing. If you're not active about grabbing your loot within a 2 minute window, then it's your loss because you have plenty of time to do so.
Besides, it wouldn't be fair for people with lower end computers if the system changed to view distance.

According to Muse, there should be a way for you to transfer GM/Vanarch power to someone else. So if that's true, I guess you can hand over the reigns to someone else you trust.
The funny thing is (iirc), I don't think anyone in AZA has said SPECTRE was a zerg alliance. SPECTRE members just immediately assumed AZA was referring to them and started mudslining on the forums and in-game. And I distinctly remember a Mew-something getting extremely defensive and calling me names.
Honestly, I could care less about what SPECTRE or AZA does provided they run their provinces well enough and not have it end up like Poporia or Val Aureum.
To me, a zerg guild is one that spams invites to everyone they see walking around. Yes, I've had this happen to me on alts. Here I am, walking around and suddenly, bam, so-and-so has invited you to their guild. Other than that, who cares how many alt guilds you have. If you have 300 active members, then of course you'd want to make an alt guild so friends can still play with friends on alts.
