berserker, to slow to move, to slow to attack. Lancer, plant feet, taunt and become meatshield. Warrior, evasion tank, dps, great skill set... Slayer, great sills, limited ability to custom chain, agile, yet squishy and melee. I can see archers could use some better armor, However, I have an archer in my guild that does extremely well, could solo a BAM and pulls 65k crits. key is Archers are ranged.
Slayers have to be in a monsters face and no matter what you do, the tank is moving a bam so you still take hits. Evasive roll does not give you an immunity buff. Light armor (heavier than leather) would be far better than the leather armor MELEE is supposed to survive in and not kill a healer trying to keep us up.

Slayers do not need chain, at all. Agile with great damage output is enough, learn to avoid boss abilities, this class is easy enough already as is. (As said by a Slayer)

There's nothing reasonable about it - slayers have so many control options at their command that giving them their own class of armor between leather and plate is absolutely ridiculous, on a variety of levels.

It's reasonable to him, because he plays the class. Just like I would like chain mail as an archer, but it would never happen and would be broken.

I'd like to see Archers gain range and chain armor.. may or may not be because that's the exact setup I used in Oblivion..

As a slayer, personally, I like the leather armour. Not only that, but some of the models LOOK like chain mail.

This game doesn't come close to a grind, and contrary to your belief, the casual player is not an altaholic like you apparently.

TERA does not have anything that even remotely resembles an excessive grind.

Compared to MMOs released between early to mid 2000? No, definitely not. But that trend is quickly fading away. However, like Aion, the time required to sit down and focus exclusively on leveling smacks some people like a two-by-four. Currently, it takes me about 3 hours to gain one level at lv45. And don't try calling someone out on their gaming habits unless you know what you're talking about. All of my alts are lv1, and I have focused solely on my main ever since OB.

I think it's time for you to just give up MMOs and stick to your RPGs.

Trololo, try again.

The time to get from 1-60 in TERA is about how long it took to get from 1-40, maybe 1-45 in Aion, and that was after the experience buffing. Before it was probably something like 1-35, so actually it doesn't even come close to resembling Aion.

Seriously though, this game has very little grind. The "trend" of the "most recent" MMOs have been a ~1-2 day rush to max level for the hardcore player. 3 days is ridiculous all of a sudden? Three days of, let's say, 21 hours a day. That means it takes you all of 63 hours to reach max. I'm sorry, but nothing about that is grindy.

This game is not an asian grinder where it takes a couple of weeks to hit max at a hardcore level. Not at all. So, it's very difficult to respect where you're coming from.

Stop comparing hardcore players to casual players, and I might actually respect your opinion. I'm not a hardcore gamer, never will be. Saying that the game "has no grind" because it takes "just 3 days to hit 60" holds no water simply due to the fact that you're taking an example from hardcore gamers who had a static group to quest with the entire time to a casual player that might get into a group about 20% of the time he or she is playing.

I've leveled completely solo and with less time, yet I'm higher level than you are. There's something wrong with this picture, don't you think?

Oh no.. it's been 3 days after launch, and I'm only level 44! I should get it instantly, because I'm a 'casual'...

No, you're just bad. You're just complaining over nothing.

And you're ignorant. This is now the 5th time I've mentioned that I've been playing since open beta, which means I've been playing for 10 days now, almost 4 of those days has been getting from 39 to 45. I would only be lv42 if I didn't play all day yesterday and today ( 5/2 and 5/3 ).

I'm 49 currently, only been leveling since Headstart. I've taken a whole -3- days off, and have still had no problems getting levels. You're ignorant as to what a grind is, it took me a 2 hours roughly per level (oh no!) to go from 45-49.

Uhm.. I'm almost 50, and 20 mil xp isn't difficult at all to grab? Am I missing something?

If you want to instantly be near cap, go play World of Warcraft and get a SoR. 3 days for 44, then maybe a week after to hit 60, IS NOT A GRIND.
No piece of gear is actually useful until cap...

it's all replaced within 3~ levels.
1 gold per boss in Necromancer's Tomb, that's 4 golds.

At 60, if you take yourself with any measure of being a 'serious player'... Not only do you have to get the ONE weapon you want, you have to Lux it until you get the stats you want exactly and then proceed to +12 it.

That's not exactly cheap, either.
