I'm stuck at "Cannot contact a reliable source". Nothing works. I've tried a complete deletion and re-installation of the game. I've tested my connection speed, which was fine. I'm currently sitting in the world's LONGEST frigging queue for support chat, where I move UP one place in the queue, then get moved BACKWARDS 1-2 spots in the queue over and over again.

I WAS considering returning to the game after being away fro several months, but if this is an indicator of how bad the TERA client is going to be now in addition to the problematic customer service, I might just stick to GW2.
People want what WoW offers: Welfare Epics, Easy-mode dungeoning, and everything else not included in those categories handed to them on a silver platter. And even if that happened, those same people whining that they are entitled to all that would complain how easy - mode the game is (see a pattern here?). Or maybe people just love to [filtered] and moan for the sake of it?

UPDATE: Right now I am experiencing lag inside a dungeon. To test this, I have gone to every dungeon I can solo in, starting with Sloths in BT, and now I am in CR. Time is 11:00 AM EST, Server: Dragonfall. What happens is that shots are in slow motion (1/2 to 1/3 normal speed), Rapid Fire and Final Salvo only fire 1-2 shots, then abruptly STOP firing as though they were somehow interrupted (and NO, I am NOT taking damage or being knocked down during this -- I have tested Rapid Fire for example just out in the open while OUT of combat and away from any mobs!). Skills that are supposed to chain off others sometimes do NOT(for example Radiant Arrow should chain off of Poison Arrow), and sometimes they DO chain, but they chain literally 3-5 seconds well AFTER the previous shot, as though the server suddenly remembered I fired a previous shot to chain off of.

So yes - There is LAG occurring here, and it is effecting my archer. As it stands, my Archer is pretty much unplayable because of this, and I do not experience this lag on any other character I have. I have reinstalled TWICE now, and have repaired the client dozens of times. My entire system is up to date: Hardware AND software wise. So why does THIS character lag like this inside instances, and not the others?
Ok, to clarify, I'm NOT taking any damage when this happens, and I am NOT being knocked down.

Come on, lets assume that the obvious things that WOULD interrupt a skill are not in the equation, please. Has anyone experienced this, or IS currently experienced this? I have repaired the client, reinstalled it even. No torrents run on this system, so bandwidth isn't being taken up. I'm hardwired to the router, and its firmware and drivers are current. All drivers on my system are current, and BIOS is up to date. (Just ruling out anything that could contribute to this)

Wondering if anyone's having the same problem here at all: I'll use an ability (say, poison arrow), then when the chain icon comes up, I press and hold space bar, and sometimes the skill will simply DISAPPEAR. Other times, I fire the skill off, but even though I'm well within range, I do NO damage to the target (I see the animation for the shot simply go through the mob). So I'm wondering if this is a known issue by EME, and if others are being affected by it. Some Lancers I know reported that their shield stance would deactivate for no reason as well. Are ALL skills doing this?
So I decided to farm the Mugatos near Pathfinder Post in Val Tirkai, and since this morning I've had any mob that I drag more than a few meters from their spawn point immediately stop, go into evade mode, then reset.

If this is a server issue, then fine I can wait until the devs/admins figure out whats going on, but if this is a stealth nerf to pulling mobs it's really a kick in the butt, since in order to upgrade our gear, we need gold. To get that gold, we have to grind it somehow via farming of some sort, etc.

I'm experiencing this on the Dragonfall server. Has anyone else experienced this on Dragonfall or any other server for that matter?

Can't wait till they put in a Work = Reward system and get rid of this RNG all together.

It's coming. They'll realize they can make a ton more money, retain a lot more US/EU subs with a Work=Reward system, and then they'll change it.

I can wait. The rest of the game is good.


Dude WTF are you smoking? Not a single Korean market game has EVER fully catered to the Western market, and TERA's not about to be the first. Welcome to 40-60 hrs/week of grinding gold and items to have MAYBE 4-6 attempts at enchanting a single item from +8 - +9, AND FAIL EVERY TIME, EVERY WEEK. Then, come here to complain about it, and have 3 out of the 2 dozen people who are in agreement come in and troll the thread, claiming that everythings fine and ppl are nothing but carebears, and all the while, BH/EME are sitting at their consoles, laughing at all the QQ. Business decisions do NOT compute in the Korean market: Look at the closest competition: NCSoft. They do the same thing with every IP they develop, and then once the game's become a hollowed out husk from the horrible gameplay and grind-fest mechanics that eventually chase most people away, they simply make it F2P and move on to the next IP.

There WILL never be a change to this system. EME/BH want you to GRIND for WEEKS to enchant your gear up ONE TIME, and only if the RNG feels like it at that point in time. Yes, some will get lucky and perhaps get from +1- +9 with few or no failures. But seriously - to think that BH will change this, and some secret change is coming down the pipe to make things easier, is pure conjecture, plain and simple.

Very vague and generalized comment there, but I'll bite: The reason that your suggestion doesn't work here is because premade groups GET PUNISHED FOR IT by getting a TWO hour lockout, versus a ONE hour lockout for using the LFD. In essence, this discourages even guild groups from bringing a full 5 people, and half the time (from my guilds experience that is) we have to pug the Lancer since ours cant play 18-24 hrs/day like some people can out there.

This encourages the idiot/incompetent/jerkoff Lancers to run LFD since they can get an insta-queue every time.

But what adds insult to injury, and is also the most baffling mechanic of LFD, is how a Lancer can dump a group or get kicked, AND THEY CAN INSTA-QUEUE IMMEDIATELY! Name ANY OTHER CLAS in TERA that can do this. None, is the answer.

This element gives Lancers undue power to bully, troll, and harass groups at their leisure, without any repercussions to their griefing. HOW is this fair to the playerbase as a whole that ONE CLASS gets to RAM-[filtered] anyone and everyone they want to and not suffer from it?

If you want to shoot this down, I invite you to submit logic and reasoning behind your ideas instead of BS generalization and trolling, thanks.
Is WORTHLESS: ALL mobs ignore the skill when used. The tooltip specifically states that when used, mobs will think you're dead, and will ignore you. Yet no matter WHAT, they continue to attack. I have YET to see it work the way it's described in the tooltip.

Oh, the mobs WILL ignore you -- Once they've comboed you to death. THEN of course they'll walk away. Example: Had a Dracolith continue a SERIES of attacks that weren't a part of a larger hit chain. The Dracolith first moved AWAY from me, so I thought the skill finally worked the way it should. But then it turned back to me (I was still FD), and started 3 static attacks in a row. Dead Archer (for REAL this time).

So EME/BH: What the hell's the point of giving a class a skill that doesn't work??
