for the love of god please get rid of that constant noise mounts make!!!! ITS DRIVING ME NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS its totaly unnessary!!!

Agreed!

I have no idea why that stupid grunt is in the game, but it is profoundly annoying! However, as pretty much everything else, EME does not give a damn; there have been complains about the annoying noise since before release.

Mute your game.

Seriously dumb response
Before TERA I considered WoW the worst community I ever experienced, and in terms of elitist A-holes, WoW is still far and away the worst.

However...

When it comes to general immaturity, obscenity, and the idiotic notion that "trolling" is cool, the TERA community is easily the worst. The trolling in this game, both in game and on the forums, is rampant and truly pathetic.
Only a server quick patch and restart... your character is fine.

You have to buy them with EMP if you're not a founder, learn to read for [filtered] sake.

Whoope on 02/21/2013, 01:41 AM
In the support section? HERPDERP.

Just buy EMP and stop whinging.

Looks like somebody is a little cranky... did you miss nap-time sweety poo?
You need to buy a physical box... then yes you get 'Founder' status
Smilinreap on 02/08/2013, 10:20 AM - view
Does this mean the unopened Tera hardcopies would not be grant founder status? If not, do those physical copies still have a purpose?

...
Enmasse
When we launch, we will discontinue all digital sales of TERA, so any remaining physical boxes will be the only way to gain founder status.

Please check with your local retailer. Boxes will be available only while supplies last, and no new boxes are in creation.

Of course the publisher's will claim it was all developed separately and never intended to be part of the main game... what the Hell do you expect the to say?!

sadly this is the meat of it all, that PROVES youre all a bunch of tin hatted psychopaths who think any business that tries to make $ is greedy scum.

Did you hear that "whooshing" sound?

It was the point flying right passed you...

But then again, I suppose an ignorant and sarcastic comment is the best you can do, since you have no ground for an intelligent rebuttal.
Rencyth on 05/21/2012, 08:30 PM - view
Honestly, all I have to say is...
IRL Barber shops... Are also $10... >_>

Seriously? So this is a valid argument... seriously?

ROFLMFAO!!!
Thundercat on 05/21/2012, 05:42 PM - view

because you arent gamers. you're entitled sounding idiots who hide behind the most absurd, fallacious reasoning, only seeing what you want to see and hear.

Nothing like starting a pseudo-intellectual argument with a generalized attack on those who disagree with you. Nevertheless, your argument fails because you did not address the true argument against the CS.

Thundercat on 05/21/2012, 05:42 PM - view

the commonly spewed arguments from anyone AGAINST the CS:

2. that it is content, and belongs to you because you pay a monthly fee. (and you still fail to see comparisons between simple analogies. you dont get extra toppings for free after buying a pizza)

more on this, people wasting EME's time:
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: They are simply for people who want to stand out from the crowd special items that not everyone will have.
Ukaei .: But shouldn't the purchase of the game and subcription over for these items?
Ukaei .: cover*
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: Not if there new additions as it says the game is ever evolving.
Ukaei .: So my subscription doesn't cover for new content?
Ukaei .: Will I be charged for future patches and bug fixes?
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: I didn't say that there is plenty of new content to come.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: You are no being charge for anything unless you want those vanity items in question.
Ukaei .: Okay.. what exactly does a subscription for $14.99 entitle a customer then?
Ukaei .: And, isn't vanity items new content? Under what catergory then vanity items fall under.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: Access to the servers is what you subscription is for.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: *your

Ukaei .: Just access? Could you guys possibly charge me for patches in the future? Omghosh.. You guys should tell people right away what their money is entitling them to. =/
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: I highly doubt we would charge for a patch since it is an update to fix problem or add new content. That doesn't restrict us from selling special items for those who want them. If you don't want them that's okay. There are plenty of in game items that are even harder to get just by playing.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: *Novelty items are not trade-able, sell-able, or discard-able.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: We have added these options by popular demand for such services.
GM Fing.Fang.Foom: I can give you the link to the terms of service if you would like.

these are vanity SERVICES developed after the fact. they are not entitled to you because you pay a sub. then to go even further and claim youre being barred from content, and may have to even pay for further content because of said assumptions... thats just fearmongering cynicism.

Obviously you do not understand what a Slippery Slope is, and you are unable to see how far we have already slid and how much farther EME is trying to push us down the slope...

More and more Pay-to-Play games are featuring a cash shop with so-called "vanity" items. They claim that these vanity items are created separately and are not part of the subscription content; while I did not love the WoW cash shop, it was at least validated by the massive amount of similar content available free in the game.

The Slippery Slope is the growing trend of items and content that is INTENTIONALLY WITHHELD to be later placed in a cash shop, or content that by all honest reason SHOULD BE INCLUDED and obtainable in game as part of the subscription fee.

Of course the publisher's will claim it was all developed separately and never intended to be part of the main game... what the Hell do you expect the to say?!

The more that people ignorantly support the greedy and unethical practice of cash shops in a P2P game, and the more they do not take a stand on the principle of what is right and wrong and demand the content that they are clearly paying for, will mean more and more shady companies like EME will establish Cash Shops and include items that would and should otherwise be in the game, but the marketing department projects a nice extra income from stupid people who will pay extra for content they should already have.

Agreed, if you do not want to buy items in the Cash Shop, you do not have to. But the real issue that people with this argument seem to overlook is that in a Pay-to-Play game, the vast majority of the so-called "vanity" items should actually be included in the paid game; it is ARTIFICIALLY determined "extra" content to milk extra $$ off the parents of spoiled kids and clueless adults.

The more people support these unethical Cash Shops, the more items you will see in them that should have been added to the paid game. This is the Slippery Slope.

Dont like it? Dont pay for it...

Getting sick of these threads.

I am getting sick of short-sighted and ignorant people like you who cannot understand the issue.

By the way, if you are getting sick of these threads, is it really too difficult for you to simply ignore it and not click on it? Heh, maybe it is... stupid people are funny that way.
