It has been known that tera only uses 2 cores for awhile now. The issue is that now that we are doing nexus the problem has become even more obvious.
Intel beats amd for 1 reason.
Most of Intel's chips (I series) are multi threaded. What this means is that each core has two lanes. It can still only process 1 thing at a time, but if it is waiting for a data, the core can process something else while it waits. This while it does not exactly equal 4 cores compared to amd's 2. It is still loads better for CPU processing operations for tera.
