Just what I was looking for, a small guild that looks as if it could be really community driven and has well...xD a very nice name. However, I'm really torn between applying for this or Tonic. but you're allied so it makes it all the better. I'll send a Whisper soon

Edit: Oh and my ign is Yudith

Tonic, is also a really good guild, so I feel honored that you were torn between their guild and ours. We look forward to having you. =)

Eclair Des Larmes is a semi-hardcore guild, that currently has roughly 30 members, and is hoping to expand. We are highly interested in the political system, PvP, and end-game PvE.

Our main goal is to help other players in the community -- especially low level ones -- and in order to do so, we are hoping to become Vanarch of a low level area.

We are looking for strong, dedicated members who share the same interests, but we will not discriminate based on level or class.

If interested, please contact: Aaron, Popstar, or Sophia for further details. You can also apply or find out more information about us on our website (although it is still small):

Ah, okay. It was my first time being hit like something like that, and because of huge difference in damage, had a "What just happened?" moment. lol That's kind of interesting actually; it means I'll just have to keep my guard up more. It's kind of nice that named mobs can do stuff like that; I always get disappointed when named mobs are nothing more than the same thing you've been fighting, but with more HP.
I know that. lol But it his normal damage was less than 500, so a crit of almost 20k couldn't be right, could it? lol
I was fighting Gernik for a quest, and I had him to about 7% HP. I'm a sorcerer, so I had my Mana Barrier up before the fight, full health, and around 60% MP. As I got ready to hit him with Flaming Barrage to finish him off, I get hit by a critical that dealt 18777 damage. I'm really confused as to what just happened; was it a glitch or something?

I think he was probably just too afraid of losing or just didn't want to do it. I'm a level 40 sorcerer right now, and while questing, I have been attacked on several occasions by people who were a few levels higher than me. The victories in those fights, came down a lot to how much HP and MP I had, since I was fighting mobs, and how many of them there were, but I've won quite a few times, even against one person and then their backup.

In a duel, 1 vs 1, where both players are at full health and everything, I don't think a single level would really matter too much. Also, considering that your guild war will probably result in a draw anyway, it would at least be some good practice for later fights. Heck, there's nothing really to lose, so even with your 4 level advantage on me, I'd give it a shot. lol

Has anyone seen any hints of the Political System? Maybe we'll have to wait until launch...

I haven't. =/ We probably will have to though. I didn't have time to play during closed beta because of school, but from what I've heard, you have to be like level 50+ to run for Vanarch, right? That's probably why.

How much do you know about the political system? Did you run for Vanarch or anything during closed beta? If so, is there anything you know that might help us who aspire to be one? ^_^

No, I hadn't ever played until the OBT. I have heard word of a mock election though so that everyone would be prepared to use the political system come time, but I haven't seen any sign of that either. Hopefully something happens tomorrow. :)

Aww, okay. =( I guess we'll just have to learn more when the time comes! You're going to try to become a Vanarch too, right? I didn't see your name on the list of candidates! I appreciate that you made this forum so that we can get our names out there, but don't forget to promote yourself too, if you're going to run. b(^_^o)

Hmmm... I'm not sure that I will. I would if I had more time, but at the moment I don't think I'm ready to put my name on the list and make such a large commitment to so many people. Perhaps someday, though...

Oh, okay. Be sure to let me know if you ever decide to; if I'm able to become Vanarch before that time, and have some experience with what to do, I'll help you out. ^_^

Also, on a different note, my guild has a website up now. It's still kind of small, since not many of our members have joined it yet, but it'll at least give us something. Could you update our website under my information? Thank you!

Imo endgame should have NO channels and all in one World and deal with it if you're in a pvp server.

I kind of agree, but I think the channels also serve a purpose in making it so that areas don't get over crowded and no one is able to finish quests. Don't you think? Maybe just have fewer channels in endgame areas?

Even though I like to PvP from the very beginning, so that I'm better at it by endgame, I can sympathize with players who want to PvP at higher levels, but don't want to be ganked every 5 minutes when their characters are still only like level 20 against characters who are almost twice their level. Some people want to be on PvP channels, but want time to adjust to the game play first, you know?
