I have noticed that sometimes the Thunder Strike could miss the target, although I was jumping right towards the mob. Similar problem with the Leaping Strike.
Not sure if it is a bug. But never had this problem in CBT.

I am rerolling Berserker in CBT4 because its weapons and skills look impressive.
Have heard a lot of words saying how bad it was in 1v1.
However your video and comment give us a good example, and I particularly like the part about how to effectively charge skills in pvp.
