What are the berserker changes?
So this confuses me.
They say it will improve queue times, but the dungeon finder was already cross server, with the exception of pve <-> pvp servers.
If you're merging them all together, it won't fix anything at all, unless this is a cop out to fixing the currently broken dungeon finder system. (You know the double priest or double lancer group was pro, but you know that's also stupidly broken)
Everything else makes sense. I approve of more community events and a greater GM presence on a server - It certainly makes things a lot more interesting.

I'm guessing you and your family are new to the MMO scene?
I hate to say this, but any game with a global chat channel faces this type of abuse. Check the trade channel in WoW, for example, lol. Granted, that channel only encompassed towns, but in my time spent there, there were plenty of unsavory comments made there on a regular basis.
No matter what, GMs won't catch them all, and they honestly shouldn't waste their time trying. You plug a leaky hole only to find 10 more pop up a moment later.
Your best bet is to just laugh at the behavior and realize that people PURPOSELY speak in such a manner to rile up the masses. It's called "Trolling" for a reason!
I wish you and your family the best, and sincerely regret losing them as a fellow player. However, I do implore you to overlook it, and realize it is what it is, and enjoy the game nonetheless.
Cheers,
Mist

Nice drawing, helps a lot for first timers~
Thanks for posting your chat transcript. I certainly hope we get some sort of "official" statement confirming or denying their intentions to deal with enchanting. Even something like, "We're looking into it, but not entirely sure what we'll do" sort of thing would make a lot of players feel better.
Personally, I hope they do implement some sort of gold dump to guarantee your enchant, increasing the cost as your + gets higher. RNG =/= Feeling of Fair Progression.

Because people don't want to wait 102398109238123 hours for another one to queue up.
Funnily enough, as a tank, I've rarely been booted from instance even when I admit that I haven't ran before.

See, then you're a reasonable person who understands that RNG does not = progression.
I think people would FULLY SUPPORT a system that took longer, but you saw progression for every attempt. Or, an item you could purchase at a high cost that "nearly guarantees" your success. Something like that. You could make it an earned reward through dungeons where you earn tokens to put toward that particular item.
So, it would still "gate" players, but every time they succeed they see progression.
Mistryl on 07/24/2012, 11:58 PMAs I said before, the only people who are okay with the system the way it is are the people who got lucky enough and +9'd or +12 masterworked something.
I understand the need to "gate" progress for players in some way, shape or form, but good players will progress in difficult encounters. Gear can't fix stupid, but when gear levels are PARAMOUNT to progression, and no amount of skill will save you, that's just messed up.
You can get unlucky FOREVER and NEVER +9 something. How is that fair? How does that equal skill? You can't answer that because that's the absurd notion they're feeding us.
Yeah, you can be the best tank, healer or damage dealer in the world, but you can't even get a +9 without dumping tens of thousands in gold--and even then still never obtain it.
You can't argue against that. The only reason anyone could ever support the system is they got lucky enough early enough to not get frustrated over it.
I actually have a +12 MW Axe, and Im still pushing for this enchanting change... Im on my 19th fail between my gloves and boots for +10. I also had to use over 90 gold fodders to get my Axe to +12.

Oh, and I forgot to add.
This game touts it being "skill based".
Skill does not equal RNG. When you can't beat a DPS check because of hefty gear requirements SOLELY BASED on RNG, there's a serious problem.
Therefore, this system does not compute for the West.
