What about the people who got free days to come back.........I JUST bought a Chronoscroll in-game to stay in the game, but it was a waste........ Will I be refunded?
That's a good idea, I also tried my idea here I called it item temper. It is very similar to your idea, the type of gear you use will give a certain percent till you reach 100% which means a plus to your gear. I hope they do something where RNG isn't a factor, I want to play Tera not Tera the gambling game. Like I tell MANY idiots, RNG isn't hard or something you can get better at it's GAMBLING. It's like saying I can get good at winning the lotto, it's just impossible.
as much as i like being used in an example, how does this system solve the problem? the main issue there is with changing the current system to any other system is that it has to keep the market for fodders going. any system that removes the rng would have to find some other way to have ppl constantly wanting more fodder.

I don't know the fact people still have to buy items to plus their gear?
EDITED

It's just a sign of how much of a colossal failure the system is. Now that the patch has democratized enchanting to high levels with T13 fodder everywhere, more and more people are realizing they fall on the wrong side of the Gaussian curve.

They're going to be upset because they can't progress. They sink mountains of gold into their gear and don't get plus-ones, while the screen consistently announces people enchanting to +9 and +12.

They're going to be mad. They're going to be frustrated. They're going to feel left out and upset that everyone else is ahead of them in gearscore--and by extension get to access content they can't.

Are the chronically unlucky enchanters enough to hurt TERA's profits? Probably not, no. Looking at a normal distribution graph, the number of samples which are considered outliers are the minority.

Unfortunately though, little things add up quickly.

The people who quit the game due to terrible experiences with enchanting will combine with the people who quit the game over poor PvP balance, and the people who quit the game over Digital River billing errors, and the people who quit over Nexus lag, the people who quit over the uninspired questing system, and the people who quit over the server merges, and the people who quit over the "westernization," and the people who quit because they'd rather play Guild Wars or some other game, and the people who quit because their lives became too busy, and the people who quit because their friends all quit, and the people who quit because the trolls in general and area chat offend them, and the people who quit just because...

Then you have a lot of people who quit, not a lot of people left, and not a lot of money for En Masse and Bluehole.

The point of this exercise is making money, Spiktroll, not making a little special club for gambling addicts such as yourself.
I don't know why they're are so many brain dead people in this world now, they can't see simple things and think to solve simple things. Is gambling really fun to them? Spending an arm and leg to + something in a GAME, if I remember a game is suppose to be FUN. I just hope they consider these ideas, as it would make the game so much more enjoyable. Also what you state is true, thanks for contributing.

So...a soft cap? Without the possibility of actually getting a winning number? That's a little different from the others I suppose. Regardless, it's a code change those can only be implemented by Bluehole. EME can only communicate with them on what's going on in NA.

WoW"That other MMO" never had RNG interfere with putting in enchants, crafting, and putting gems in your gear, and look how successful WoW"That other MMO" is it's the little things that make the game fun.

"That other MMO" had RNG built into the drops from all levels of content with no alternative method of advancing other than playing said content and getting the drops you needed. Badge items were okay in comparison to BiS at each level. "That other MMO" is also an anomaly in the market.

I agree that it is the little things that make it more fun. Things like: Fishing, Cooking, PokemonPet battles, multiple instances with different looks and fixed loot tables. I could go on but, this is TERA not "That other MMO."

It is comparable, what if enchanting could fail? That would be RNG which people would hate, instead it's 100%. Also is making Tera successful a bad thing? WoW is the most successful MMO it would be smart to take from it and learn to make yours better, RNG will not make your game better that's for sure. People who complain "oh that's a copy of wow omg!" and? It's fun now because they took from it; if done right. Take from those who are successful and add to it, that's how you overcome others.

Yeah mine offers an idea to fix this RNG based enchanting, that's the difference learn to read instead of thinking you're special.

Hi I will like to talk about RNG for crafting, it's quite annoying gambling for gear to +. I don't want people coming here saying OMG IF THEY GET RID OF RNG IT WILL BE TO EASY :'(, RNG isn't "easy" or "hard" it's CHANCE it takes no skill at all. When crafting I believe it should be the persons fault if they fail it not because RNG felt you should fail it, but since I know you guys won't do anything that great to this game I came up with another idea.

I would like to introduce Item Temper, basically the way it works is you use the same tier item as the one you're going to + but what's different is it will temper the item. Temper is a percentage and once it hits 100% it will +, White will give a low percent, Uncommon will give a higher then White, Rare will give a higher percent then Uncommon, and Superior will give the highest percent. I feel that this will make the enchanting much more FUN then annoying, people still have to spend money to + an item but the annoyance of RNG is gone. WoW never had RNG interfere with putting in enchants, crafting, and putting gems in your gear, and look how successful WoW is it's the little things that make the game fun. I feel this will make Tera much more enjoyable, as it's a pain when you're excited for new gear then get annoyed thinking of the task of getting your gear to +9 and failing +1 to +2 three times.

I just hope they take this idea and work with it, as I feel RNG should not interfere with crafting or upgrading gear. It should be your fault it didn't + and your fault your item broke from crafting, skill should be the issue not RNG. Thanks for listening, have a great day.

P.S. RNG isn't EASY or HARD, it's GAMBLING. Here's a picture http://s19.postimage.org/ora6bl3mb/Tera_Item_Temper_Idea_Picture.png

I seriously love these items. But, I wish I could use them on all of my characters. Not in the sense of having 8 sets of glasses, or 8 eye patches, but instead allow the items to be deposited in the bank. This would let the item be moved between characters for people who become attached to a certain accessory.

I know those glasses have stolen my heart, and it stings a bit knowing that only one character can use them. I'm afraid to redeem them in case I change my mind later!

I fully agree with you, it's driving me nuts on who to put the glasses on..... I want it on all my characters...

Loving the event but I wish we could redeem them on all characters if they're up only for a limited time. Which character will get which hat, ah the choices choices....

Yes I find this very stupid, it should be one time use to all characters. I'm going to want glasses on all my characters, but can't and don't think I'll buy it for 10$ when you put it in the store.
