As promised, here's the result of VOT ZF area on max settings for the first nexus.

That was with the UI on which drains CPU like a mofo. Also, as previously stated, the framerate drops 4-5fps while taking screenshots, as such the number is always down 4-10 frames at a time depending on if I take one picture or several in rapid succession.

There was definitely a higher concentration of players than Dragonfall from what I could tell, and there was a drop in performance by a few frames from what I normally get.

Still, I averaged 10-15 fps during phase 3 and it was playable on max settings. Again, this is on a 5ghz CPU.

Here's one on phase 2 min settings with the UI off. This, as on DF, nets a 5-10 fps difference. (Note that lower than actual game fps is displayed due to screenshot. Actual fps was around 15-20fps.)

Long story short, nexus on VOT is, in fact, playable even on max settings IF:

-You have one hell of a CPU ---More important than ANYthing else.
- A decent video card (I use a single Gtx580 3gb OC'd to ~1000mhz core clock and 2400memory clock)

-A fair amount of ram. I only used 8GB @1866 instead of 32GB @ 2133 as it's easier to get a stable overclock around 4.8ghz and up. I only switch ram and clock the cpu to 5ghz to play Tera. (I clock it to 4.7 or 4.8 for anything else).

Having said that, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO OC MY CPU TO A LUDICROUS EXTENT to make a game playable. When I say playable, I mean minimum 10-15fps. What a horrible mess.

And on that note, my civil obligation being done, I'm also stepping away from Tera to join the ranks of the Planetside 2 Beta. (And ultimately, the actual game).

Tera had great potential, but was sadly piddled away by making it too easy to reach end game and, once you get there, has next to nothing to do. Good luck to all who choose to stick it out.
