Yes use crystalbind. Safe zones are for people who shouldn't even be on a PvP realm. People that run into a safe zone because they are afraid to die are just not true PvP'ers. I would like to see safe zones removed.

Afraid to lose your crystals :) In lineage 2 if you were red you could lose your weapon. LOL or your gloves or BP or boots.

I like the lineage2 PvP system. When you kill enough players too far below your level the town guards in every town will basically kill you on sight. I loved watching players get 2 shot by a town guard. Would help control the issue of 60's killing lowbies. Not sure what fun there is in killing someone so far below you in level. That takes no skill. PvP to me is about skilled combat between players not skilled combat between me and some NPC. I find it quite humorous when I kill someone my level and they log their 60 to come kill me as somehow they were all broken up by me showing them how little skill they have. =) In general I'm a very nice player and always flag and circle my opponent giving them time to prepare.. or in lots of cases mount and flee. Too many times they do that. :/

erm in L2 your would lose your items even if your not red.......

Also cant use L2 as a reference since L2 had no strictly PvE only servers if I remember

When red your chance to drop items was increased. You could always drop gear just dying to a mob or anyone else. I can use it as a reference and did. Not really sure where you going with the PvE only comment.. the reference is valid.
Only thing going OP is Koniko. Discuss that kid. Learn your class and stop ovulating around new patches.

Stop making gear the driving factor. I don't know the solution yet but I'll come up with some ideas and post them. Just as a "fun" thread. If that can happen on the enmasse forums -.-

Gear is the driving factor because there are no permanent choices during creating and leveling your character except for class. Remember Diablo 2? For a long, long time all character skill and attribute points were permanent.

This created diversity in character skills not just character gear. In TERA every class has the same skills and same base attributes so the only differences are your gear and your glyphs.

What I'm talking about is re-inventing the MMO model. I think we've beaten the current model to death. Some new and has to be created other wise it's so rinse and repeat .. grind grind grind...

No wonder new people to MMO's have a bad experience. They have no idea what they are getting themselves into.

I'm not mentioning this as a fix for this game obviously. Just a fun threat I'll post soon when I get the time to think about this in depth.
That sounds good to me and I understand the need to have cooperative play. That is really the bottom line of a MMO. I just solo more lately as the communities in MMO's have unfortunately declined greatly.

Do we get anything for doing battlegrounds? Or is it just purely for fun / bragging rights.

You get PvP gear, weapons, and accessories. And no, Nexus is not PvP gear.

Thank you Leiloni :)

You've played too many Korean MMOs :(
Tera is actually my first Korean MMO. I just been playing games in general for 25 years.

There are points you realize you done all you wanted to do and move on to another game. There is no point holding on and hoping that the game will get better. Because if the game gets better it will still be there, you can always come back. if not, you saved yourself time and frustration - and gained entertainment in the other game.

Yeah I know but you were kinda saying all MMOs have the same formula: grind, cap, farm endgame dungeons, get geared, quit.

here it is again.. LOL Morg will spew it again. We need a MMO that does not follow this model. :)

@Vardahoth: Thanks I'll add them tonight and look them up. :)

White knights just crap up every thread they walk in to thats having an actual discussion. It's useless blathering trying to grasp at straws to make excuses for something being done poorly. No effort at all at being constructive, just blindly defending.

Kind of like blindly attacking GW2 for its cash shop when you can get everything on it with gold and never spend a dime.

Isn't this the same concept for Chronoscrolls though? :/

If people attack chronoscrolls; expect people to attack GW2 system. Also expect people to be idiots, everywhere. Labeling anybody is what makes a person idiotic as well but this contradicts itself doesn't it? ;)

I can buy everything on TERA's cash shop with gold now? No, I can't. GW2 is keeping everything available in game. You might complain about that if you can't handle others being able to earn them in game without paying cash.

Chronoscrolls aren't any different than buying time card codes for gold. By definition WoW was F2P. The issue comes up when you try to use "Oh but it's F2P" because you personally didn't foot the bill. Then try to justify temporary items and the cash shop getting more content than the game.

Great way to keep those subs coming in to a P2P.

I agree with you too Rak! Hell I agree with everybody! Aren't I nice! :)
