Thing is night, this should have been in the game already
Players need to control the nexus or it eventually makes a bunch of OP monsters. If it was in the game now, while there are no 60s, it would be stupid because there is nobody to fight them.
It makes perfect sense it's not activated. The rest of your essay wasn't worth reading considering it's based on an uninformed premise.
Letting zerks tank is about a good idea as letting Lancers dps.
How do people still confuse grinds with challenge? I mean don't they realize that wasting inordinate amounts of time doesn't make something harder, just more tedious?
Removing the roles is bad, GW2 did it and I personally don't like it at all. People need to stop being wimps and tank. That's it really. They could also have 8 man groups or something too that only require 1 tank. DAoC had 8 person groups, it does help.
ITT: People complain about endgame not being entirely fleshed out on release.
In this post: A person that doesn't realize that the game has been out for over a year, and coming up on 3 or so months for the patch we're currently running.
There is no excuse.
I did know actually. I know you guys would like them to snap their fingers and have everything working perfectly out of the gate for this region, but that simply isn't realistic. They are working on it, you know they are working on it, crying will get you nowhere.
Saying things like "There is no excuse" like you have any idea what's going on behind the scenes is just laughable.
I never said lvling up = challenging, I said that I think reaching max should have been more of a challenge.
Pressing buttons to cast abilities isnt hard either. Niether is turning your mouse to run away.
Leveling and exploring the world is VERY MUCH a part of the game. I'm sorry that that aspect has been lost with the WoW generation of gamers.
The fact that you think lvling is so easy you are just going through the motions speaks VOLUMES as to what has been lost in this generation of games.
Been playing mmos since the release of EQ, asking for more tedium in a game is just stupid, sorry. If anything only noobs would find such basic gameplay interesting at this point, I really don't see how any vet could want more of the literally easiest part of the game.
You really are bad at arguing, you just want a time sink so you can get ahead. That's it. Nobody looking for interesting gameplay would ask for more grind.

You guys know that before WoW made leveling a straight line that the point of mmos was to level in a shared world full of other players.
This whole "the game only begins after max level" concept is not that old. It's a WoWism. Before then games were imho a lot less linear. It wasn't just waiting to get new content to explore. People made their own content. Then again games before WoW were a different style really.
Max level used to be an achivement. Now it's an assumption.
Please stop confusing spending an inordinate amount of time doing simple things to be an achievement. Having played those games a ton myself, I can safely say it's good mmos have evolved beyond a who can do something incredibly mundane the most contest, which EQ most certainly was at launch. It was not a test of skill, it was a test of patience.
