Munchkin's Post History

+1. Terrible system. I agree very much with the comment about dreading getting new equipment. I should be excited when I get new gear, but I absolutely hate it. And that is just sad. Anyone ripping on you saying "it's fine the way it is", have fun playing your dead game. My entire guild died this past weekend because we played a game that didn't suck [filtered], made by a company that actually listens to it's customers.
Hey dude. Not here to talk [filtered], just wanted to point something out in the video. The person you thought was Fang was actually Clash. (notice the wrenches) He dies fairly early on and you guys mistake him for Fang, so when you see Fang later on in the video you think he rezzed. Just wanted to point that out.

I had a lot of fun even though things ended with us mad at each other yet again.

Oh and I gotta talk a little [filtered]. That sorc is terrible.
Mazrem. I love you.
A couple ways to encourage pvp:

1. One channel in Pathfinder Post

2. Make world bosses spawn more often and drop loot that people are actually really going to want. Not one white zyrk or nothing at all. Maybe T13 gold fodder, or good jewelry (dire necklaces, etc). There will be more pvp than people will know what to do with.

It's not an alternate character guild Minea! Its the SAME characters dropping guild and moving themselves to the next one.

This.
Fellow Sorc here. Right there with ya.

Scores of 1-0 / 2-1 / 3-2 are not very convincing wins.

I think Ace sums it up very well, bit I'd like to add one thing. For smaller group pvp (5v5) or less, Archer is better. For anything bigger than that I would say Sorc is better, especially if you have a lancer on your team. It all depends on what you plan on doing. Since BGs will release at end of summer with only 15v15, I believe Sorc will be a much better choice. Although I play Sorc, I respect 5v5 the most, because It takes more teamwork and coordination instead of giga/nuke zerg tactics. But you take what you can get.
Like Outl4w said, many people with nexus gear have 30% reflect. I have it as well, because you'd be stupid not to have it. That doesn't make it balanced or fair, and it is a terrible game mechanic. A battle should be won if a person hits, and is not hit. Doing damage and avoiding damage. But this is not the case. I battled a priest yesterday for 20 whole minutes. I am a sorc. The priest purposely stood in all my AOEs for their full duration. I blew probably 10 of each potion trying to kill him, but eventually had to just sleep him and run away.

I have also killed myself plenty of times in GvGs with a fireblast. Silly me, trying to damage enemy targets. I did some 3v3 DMs a few days ago, neither side had healers. I did not get hit. At all. But I died first every time. It's a really [filtered] feeling being at 10% or less health, and knowing if you attack one more time you will die.

It's really good that EME capped the Resolute crystals at 1 and lowered the % reduction of the PvP pot. We would be in even worse shape than we are now because the PvP damage reduction would be so high that almost all damage dealt would be in the form of reflect. And when people got their T13 Nexus gear masterworked, the pvp dmg reduction stats would be even higher. It would have gotten to the point where you could have almost 100% pvp dmg reduction at 50% health. Leaving the only form of damage as reflect.

That being said, if EME could change the pvp dmg reduction, I'm really hoping they can change reflect.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that masterworked pvp chest pieces not only have higher pvp dmg reduction stats, but also higher % reflect stats. Can't wait.

Minea, it pains me that you actually visited this thread and only edited some smart remark. Got no info for us? No "we're looking into it" or "we realize it's a problem"? Please, any info at all.
