Mystikkal's Post History

$25 dollars is obviously a lot. But if you don't want to spend that money, don't buy it. The high price will make it so that not as many people have it - which makes the $25 spent a little more worth it.

The real issue is if this item did have a faster speed. Then most people would feel the need to buy it - no one wants to be at a disadvantage. If EME starts selling items that have an advantage over in-game items, then we will have a problem. It will be essentially adding $ to the monthly subscription fee.
I agree with people complaining about a schedule. EME this really isn't that complicated. When you force people to play your game during certain times, you are asking people to quit your game. What you have told me with nexus is, give up your weekends or you wont get your pvp gear. Do you have any idea how stupid of a decision that is for you to make? I cant believe you would make such a choice. Sorry but I can't be subtle about this. People have lives, they want to see their friends, their girlfriends expect them to come out with them on a Friday.. etc. and yet you create a conflict between MMO life and real life.

The answer is simple. Have more events than one is allowed to do in a particular week or 2 week period. Everyone is allowed 4 nexus events a week. You schedule 10 of them at various times. Wow that was hard to figure out.
I'm not trolling, i'm just trying to understand the point. I'm not sure if all classes have reflect damage.. assuming they do:

How does reflect damage prevent healers from being the primary targets? If it was only healers that have reflect damage, i could see the reasoning: you are less inclined to attack the healer because there is a negative to it (reflect damage). But arn't you going to take that reflect damage when you attack an archer as well?

If you want to prevent healers from being the only targets, give them survivability and retribution skills (e.g. blink, close range aoe stun and close range aoe damage, etc.). Then when 4 people jump on a healer, there is a negative for choosing the healer (that they may all be cc'ed and get damaged).

The other way to prevent healers from being the primary targets is by making positioning important. Anyone who played GW1 GvG knows this - if you overextended in that game to jump on a healer, you would often die. I get the sense, Tera doesn't have that concept.. but I havn't played high level pvp yet... because it doesnt exist

quote name='Trizamp' at='06/14/2012, 01:09 AM']A. While I hate to admit it, since reflect is ridiculously overpowered on healers in a 1on1 fight vs a non-healing class, reflect has its place on those same healers in group battles. Reason is simple, it does *something* to make players think twice about just nonstop attacking the healer. Without it... focus fire on the healer will yet again be the standard battle tactic of group pvp. Do you really want that?

is it only healers that have reflect? If you gang up on an archer, don't they have it 2? Not sure I understand this point..

/signed. this needs to be changed.
let me make sure i understand this correctly.. the gear from nexus is very important for pvp... the nexus is broken and you get 5 fps.. and I have to give up my weekends in order to do it? Why did I purchase a 6 month subscription to this game? what a fail implementation.

really starting out on the right foot Tera... and I had hope for this game.

GW2 here I come.. arg i didnt want to say it, but ive said it.

fair enough :)
There is obviously a lot of constructive criticism on the forums. You have done a great job EME of listening. This sort of communication is great - letting your player base know that you are listening and what you are doing. Keep it up!
you can cancel in this game? where is that command?
ok ill keep trying this.. but i really dont like it. it turns you into a keyboard turner... you cant be precise with where you want to attack... so if i immediately want to attack someone to my left.. i can attack straight ahead (W), totally to the left (A) or to the front and to the left (W and A together).. so i have three possible angles.. but with with a mouse i can be more specific with where exactly i attack.. am i missing something? :)
