Mythra's Post History

Why, then, has Tera taken so many things from WoW? I thought about compiling a list, but I am just going to start mentioning some of the stolen portions of Tera that were WoW concepts:

- Warrior class
- Priest class
- Glyphs
- Titans
- Maelstorm
- Alchemy / Enchanting / etc
- Reputation
- Instances, instances lockouts
- Achievements
- Zones look similar to other zones, such as Mistmoor Island/Jagged Coast compared to Stranglethorn Vale, or Val Aureum compared to Tanaris/Silithus
- Imps
- Kobolds

What's your point? WoW took much of this from D&D, EverQuest, and Ultima, D&D used things that Tolkien wrote about, Tolkien was probably inspired by various Mythologies.

Idea's are born from something. Every single thing can be traced to something else. But if you are going to sit there and compare, perhaps you should take the time to make sure that two items with the same name or actually the same. (IE, WoW's Glyph system and Tera's Glyph system are vastly different.)
I own a Naga keyboard and mouse. Both are amazing.

As for standard keybindings:
I remap WASD to ESDF. This allows my hand to move further, enabling access to more keys.

Interact is then rebound to Tab.

3rd Action button is then remapped to G, and is used for my mount.

My Razer is set to Numpad, and I rebind upper and lower to that.

If you don't want to go Naga, my suggestion is:

Rebind to ESDF. Rebind Interact to W, or whatever feels comfortable..
Leave lower 1-6 alone.
Rebind Upper 1-6 to Shift+1-6.
As you need more keys, you can rebind to Ctrl+1-6, Ctrl+Shift+1-6, etc.
So, about 2 years ago, Blizzard implemented this feature, known as Real ID, and was going to make it live on the forums. Many people argued for/against it. I'll give some examples of the against:

One person posted his e-mail address. Within the hour, he was called, at work, and told to be more careful what he posts online. And not to post while working, he has a job to do.

Another person, this one a Blizzard employee, was told his address, his spouse's name, his children's name, their ages, and their schools names.

In another example, someone was selling an account on a website. The buyer, after getting all necessary account info, reversed his PayPal payment. Within an hour, the seller had the name of the buyer's (who was a minor) parents, address, and phone number.

For these reasons, I create a new online identity every 2-3 years. I do not participate in Social Media. I no longer use any IM system. And still, it's possible to find info about me.

The internet is not safe, and any type of threat should be met with the appropriate action(s).
Went for the 6 month. Long enough that I know I'll play, but short enough that if I get bored at the tail end I won't have wasted money.
I love the Razer Naga mouse. Despite having large hands, I'm able to use it rather easily, binding all 12 buttons. I'm starting to run out of space, and will probably be rebinding the buttons to allow for modifier keys.

I got the digital version though, for physical versions I think the 30 days come with your box key. I on the other hand have nothing...

Once again, contact Support. I have heard wonderful things about Tera support, and they should be able to help you with this.

If they bill me before June 1 for the 1-year-sub that I chose, I'm gonna be PISSED

I believe we are should be charged on May 31st, 30 days after the game went live.
No matter what version, you get 30 days free for purchasing the game.
As the thread says, when the servers reopen on Saturday, what's your plan of attack?

I myself am not sure if I want to level an alt first, or power my main to 38.

My GF only hit 10, so I'll probably make a character so we can play/level together as well.
I don't think so.

Maybe a merchant every few campfires, but if you had one at every camp, it would just spoil us.
