I've spent some time on several of the servers guilds VOIPs, and most of them have traits some players would find appealing, depending on personality. What made me sign up with Aegis is they're adult. Not in like porn, but the conversations on their VOIP can be complex, involved, and about topics that apply to the older mature gamer. So far I haven't heard any poop jokes, non-stop ramblings of a high elf's [filtered] by a hormone raging preteen, or any sort of weird internet tough-guy chest thumping.
I have confidence in the guild leader to make rational decisions involving inevitable guild disputes, as well as a working plan for end game. He is educated and takes value in real life matters. I don't want to paint myself a fanboi of this GM, I'm just pointing out his traits I like. There is a very small group of players who know each other from a previous game who are apart of this guild. Sometimes in a guild this can lead to "clicks", not the case with Aegis; all of the members I have interacted with have been open to conversation, regardless of how long they have known me.
There is a sea of guilds out right now. Some people are putting posts up about what are the differences between guilds or what not. I'm sure there is a guild for just about everyone, but if you're looking for a mature mindset with an underline on efficient game play while having real life priorities, get in touch with Decimo.
