Ohbj's Post History

Jagged coast has a more active community, and far better players. The majority of the bad players started on VoT thinking it would be the highest pop (it was) but a large majority of those players have quit, transferred, etc. Activity on the forums is going up on jagged coast, and going down on VoT, as well. An educated decision would be to join JC.

While it might seem like the OP is being passive aggressive, I have played with him in other MMO's, and he takes the time and effort to make information available to other players in every game he plays. He is methodical in everything he does, including gaming, and while some people may make assumptions about the manner in which he posts, this is simply the way he is.

While most of us realize that information he has pointed out in his posts is available to everyone, not everyone does. There are people who do not take the time to read the News & Announcements forum, or the Game Guide, and there are still more people who are new to the game and are so overwhelmed with information that they have not thought to look. He is providing a service and expects nothing in return, not even your support or your vote. The survey he wrote was as a courtesy because he honestly wanted to know what people thought, and the fact that he has been willing to post the results for other candidates and the soon to be Vanarchs, in my opinion, proves that it was nothing more than interest in public opinion.

Despite what I have said, I know that everyone will interpret the OP their own way, and more power to all of you. I just hope we can keep this thread positive and as a source of information, and not weigh it down with flaming, or negative assumptions.

Have a very nice day, and enjoy your time in TERA.

In hindsight, I could've been a little less aggressive with my opinion on the matter, but I feel there is absolutely no other way to perceive the threat title alone. "Get what you vote for." Why not, "List of Vanarch Promises" or something?

"get what you vote for."

This, to me, just reads as "well, you brought this on yourselves". Since my guild was voted vanarch, I took offense to it. If no one else can see where I'm coming from, maybe I really should take exception to cancefa...errm MerriamWebsters post there.

Am I incorrect in assuming you think the majority of the vanarchs are not going to hold true to what they are offering?

I regularly speak to 5 of the soon to be Vanarchs, I know they will do what they promise. The other 10 I do not know personally, but I assume they will deliver, if they want to be re-elected. I did not include my opinion in the OP because it has no meaning in this thread. I've done in this thread, what I have done in all my other threads. Make information available.

I apologize for misinterpreting it, but this is the vibe I got from the whole situation.

No need to apologize, I am sure you were just trying to be as constructive and helpful as you can be.

Very good. If nothing else, you sure know how to act like a politician. Deceptive, sneaky, selective information, careful wording, passive aggressive, trying to look innocent, etc. It's probably a good thing you aren't getting elected, honestly. Real politics have no place in a video game. Gamers who are focusing on fun should be the leaders here.

You do have people here fooled which is good. Not me, and I fully expect a response questioning my authenticity due to my inability to take you at face value but you and I know I've got you pegged.

Regardless, I wish you the best of luck in your quest to be informative to the population here, and hope there is someone out there who can do the same as you are with no hidden agendas.

To anyone else reading this thread just make sure you consider your own gut instincts and sources before looking at this guys surveys and threads. He's putting an awful lot of time and effort into this. The information for what vanarchs are providing has always been readily available to everyone in game itself, where they were able to vote. This thread is unnecessary as a source of information, but incredibly necessary as a source of passive aggressive, shady behavior. Take it all with a grain of salt.

Gonna pop!

@Ohbj and Massacre

Atlas have never once complained, so don't know where this Massacre idiot is coming from. Atlas has done nothing more than try and get what the people want regardless if he is in office or not. I'll chalk this one up to someone who is a sore winner and wishes to shove it in people's faces.

I don't know if you guys know what passive aggressive means or what, but you should look it up

Anyways, the title of the thread maybe just rubbed me the wrong way. The whole Vibe I got from this, is that you are making the assumption that everyone voting had no idea what they were voting for, or why, and that you have to educate them after the fact, because your guild didn't get vanarch position or whatever, and you want to effectively get some sort of victory by enjoying everyone crying about who they did vote for. Am I incorrect in assuming you think the majority of the vanarchs are not going to hold true to what they are offering? Honest answer.

If somehow, that wasn't what was going on here, then sure, I apologize for misinterpreting it, but this is the vibe I got from the whole situation.

How am I skewing anything? Show me where I have attacked anyone. I am only posting what others have already said. Just like the survey results I have been sharing with the forums. Maybe you should reread my threads, I believe you are misinformed.

Let's try a different approach. What are your intentions with this thread?

I'm in Massacre, so not me. This is just my observation from the OP. He's posted in other threads with the same complaints.

Please quote me complaining.

Your entire post is passive aggressive complaining dude. The name of the thread itself, the whole thing is you getting ready to try and rub it in everyones faces that they shoulda voted for you.

Am I wrong? You may say so, but you know that's *exactly* what this is.

You claim I am being passive aggressive, when all I am doing is sharing information with the forums. I am not upset that OC didn't win, but that will not stop me from trying to help the community. There are plenty of good intentioned guilds that did win, and I congratulate all the winners.

You on the other hand are being aggressive, which accomplishes nothing, but if that is your prerogative, then kudos to you sir. I am sure replying to this thread with your all your analytical prowess gave you a strong sense of satisfaction, and I can't hold that against you, I actually appreciate your view of my intentions. Please tell me more, tell me how you really feel.

I am combating your passive aggressiveness with my aggressiveness, yes, and this post of yours was equally as passive aggressive as the first. Regardless, this is a video game, it's not real life, it's not real politics, its fun. Instead of being a vulture and snake and trying to corrupt people into thinking everyone has made poor choices why don't you just let things play out and then maybe think up a better attack campaign when the next round of voting starts, and you have some actual evidence or reason to attack people who are just trying to enjoy the game like anyone else.

You're skewing what people are actually saying, as a direct result of your guild not being elected. I can almost guarantee this thread would not exist had you been voted in, regardless of who else was voted in for the other provinces.

Edit:

Perhaps you are gearing up to rise through the ashes of all these vanarch's who you do not have any faith in. That's fine, but you are very transparent in your intentions, at least to anyone with half a brain. I don't think it's going to work for you, but good luck regardless.

It sounds like the crying of someone who did not campaign very well and did not receive any support as a result. Yes, you can go ahead and say well only zerg guilds are going to get voted in even though they aren't the best choice yadda yadda.

Maybe that's true, but if nobody knows you, then how could you possibly expect to get votes?
