Pebbles's Post History

omg and here I was thinking everyone wasn't suppose to be able to afford everything in life *sigh*. You know ... In rl I would love to be able to wear Louboutin pumps but those cost $800-$1000 dollars ... a pair! So sadly ... I don't own a pair. Maybe one day I'll find a rich boyfriend and he'll buy me a pair but until then ... I'll just keep buying my shoes at Nordstrom's. This game is no different. Affordability is subjective and varies from person to person. I'm pretty sure people would still have a problem with it if the mount was $20 dollars. Everybody is not supposed to be able to afford everything. Mounts are cosmetic. In other words, I'd also love to be driving around in a lamborgini (sp), but I can't afford it so I drive around in my Toyota instead. It still gets me from point A to point B, I'd just feel better about myself if I got to point A in the Lamborgini ... but it's not necessary. It would just be a "luxury."

If it requires hard earned cash maybe the chances of getting something out of it is high.

???

I want this more than anything right now.

I am talking about adding things that will be to the benefit and enjoyment of a broader player base. You know, more about being inclusive as opposed to exclusive.

oh, nevermind ... this is futile.

I am going to excuse myself for now and go play the game ok.
Its not aiming at a broader player base. Go back to your PvE and deal with that fact

Oh, it's not?

So in other words it doesn't want to make more money right? *laughs*

... and btw, we like the armor too. Maybe for different reasons than the male population, but we still like them (granted some of the styles may be a bit over the top but it is still very beautifully well done).

Which is why i asked earlier, you are you even bothering to post on here if only PvP Servers will be affected and PvE and RP servers will not?

Well, I thought the question the OP asked in this thread was "should Tera focus on PvP or PvP, or both?"

Sorry but I didn't see anything about it only affecting PvP servers. I dont know, maybe I missed something and if I did, well I stand corrected (not sure how but whatever lol).

Oh, and btw WTFownedU, I am sure that there are more than just two girls playing this game but anyways, I wouldn't take us too lightly if I where you. Because trust me, if the choice was between including some elements of "dress up" and "fluff" to their games in return for the increased revenue that even a portion of a larger female population would bring or adding more PvP features and continue alianating the female player base, then I think we both know which one they would pick, don't we? *smile*

Well, I don't know much about MMO's but I think you are not understanding me. I don't want Tera to not have PvP. I am the one who is saying that both can co-exist. The bigger the player base, the better off Tera will be in the future. We just have to work together and support and trust that Tera will make a game that will be enjoyable for both fan bases going forward.

Then why even bother going on this thread if only PvP Servers would be benefiting from improved PvP.
And FPS isn't the cream of the crop for pvp lovers, that's just stereotypical. OWPvP is enjoyable because it's war like, fighting for territory and to show off your PVE accomplishments as well as PvP skills especially with this combat system. How fun would a game be to mindlessly farm dungeons and gold to get the best gear and just hang out in town talking?

The point being that Tera, at its core, is an PvE MMORPG game with active style combat. Yes the combat works well for PvP but that does not take away the fact that its an MMORPG. The key words in that acronym are ROLE PLAYING GAME. You don't see PvEers going to Call of Duty/Battlefield/APB etc forums demanding that they increase the focus of PvE content in those games do you?

I love Tera. Me and my friends have tried playing other games such as WoW but we could never really get into those games. Tera, with the beautiful graphics, casual-friendly play mechanics, and chic fashion sense, is the only video game me and my friends have really enjoyed. Please don't ruin it.

PvE, make somes raids

... and then there are the "Raiders."

I knew it would be just a matter of time before the "raiders" entered the discussion lol

I'm in the "fluff" group. I want more "fluff."

More housing, better crafting, remodeling, RP-friendly features, animations, convenient grouping tools, music, etc. In short, look to Mabinogi and add some of the features they have in that game. Doing so would make Tera truly epic.
Lol go play WoW for that carebear stuff. What company in the right mind would waste such a great combat system solely on PvE and cosmetics. You PvE carebears destroy every PvP game that is released and you guys won't stop til all PvP is wiped out of existence

Lol go play *Call of Duty/APB/Battleflied or any other of the myriad of FPS games* for that FFA Gankfest stuff. What company in the right mind would waste such a graphically detailed and expansive world solely on PvP. You PvP gankers destroy every PvE game that is released and you guys won't stop til all PvE is wiped out of existence.

See what I did there?

It can go both ways, can't it?

Anyways, yes I am a carebear and I am not ashamed at all to admit it. Actually, I like that title. It's cute :)
Despite the fact that PvPers use it as some sort of insult.

Anyways, like Niia above says, just because PvP is popular in FPS games doesn't mean that it has to infiltrate every other game genre. As mentioned before, there are many excellent FPS games that PvPers can play without having to come into the MMORPG genre and demand that those games also be turned into FFA PvP/FPS styled gankfests.

Having said that, I am not advocating that Tera not have PvP. In Tera, there is PvP in PvE servers too. Only, it is more controlled and structured, and that is the way that many PvE fans like it. That is the point that many PvEers are making. That fans of both genres should compromise and meet somewhere in the middle. Apparently, judging by the trend of this thread, PvPers don;t even want that. They want it all. But why am i surprised *sigh*

That doesn't really tell us much though.

The only way we can really know is if they disclosed actual numbers, and to the best of my knowledge, that is nowhere to be seen on the server list.

What it really tells those of use who look at it from an unbiased point of view, is that the PvE player base is spread out over double the amount of servers that the PvP player base is spread out over. Merely that and nothing more.
