The game is rather disappointing.
-Combat: I was hoping for true non-target combat, but instead we got soft targeting homing missile extreme. Its still basically tab target but instead of a tab button you get a crosshair that 'target's what ever its over and everything is a homing missile from there. Its better then WoW certainly (not like its difficult to be better than WoW now a days), but its no TERA. Hell as said above even RaiderZ has better combat than this.
-Character models / Animations: The world itself looks rather amazing but the character models are just plain horrid, it's like their not even from the same game. It's just so damn terrible. Don't even get me started on animations, they speak for them selves.
-Classes: They did a decent job making them different from each other, but they're pretty horribly imbalanced at the moment.
The Great Weapon fighter it seems the devs either wanted it to be a dps or a tank, but instead tried to make it some weird amalgamation of them that completely fails at both rolls.
The Control Wizard and Trickster rogue are basically the ranged and melee forms of each other. High damage, High CC, etc. They are nigh immortal unless focused on by multiple enemies in PvP.
-Instances: Current bosses in this game are honestly brain dead simple. The only difficulty, challenge or strategy the bosses in this game provide is not from the bosses them selves but from how many and how quickly is summons adds. That is it. Adds. I can find more complex bosses on a SNES game.
-General Feel Opinions: Its a D&D game, but it just seems like that is in name only. It lacks a lot of race and class options that a D&D game requires, the new 4e rule set that the game takes hints from is just a complete [filtered]ization of what D&D was, and removes a lot of choice.
For example old style BGII, IWDII: characters had a a wide variety of things you could customize class wise dps clerics, tank clerics, healing clerics, tank fighters, dps fighters, ranged fighters, etc. It all depended on how you spent you stat points and how you progressed in your feats and items.
-Business model. My god this is some of the worst I have ever seen. You can spend $800 for a free ride to max level, spending $ on Zen to convert to Astral Diamonds can land you end game gear, Of course you can get Diamonds in game but be prepared to spend many many MANY months even for the simplest of items. Gold in the game is worthless.
Respecing cost Astral Diamonds, and is almost required once you reach max level to optimize you build. Even something this simple can take weeks of farming them.
Enchanting is worse than TERA. You have to collect runes (weakest) Fuse multiple ones with an extremely low success rate to create normal runes, than fuse normal runes with an even lower success rate to get the best runes. And of course PWE gives you the option to buy 100% success fuses off the cash shop / Astral Diamonds.
