They do. And unfortunately, it just give EME and Pay to Win image now.
People who haven't paid anything have to wait like, an hour, and now they're quitting left and right.
Give perks where it's needed, but do server upgrades too.

They're pretty much boning the people they're trying to get. Making them wait 40 minutes to play and then giving them terrible lag on top of that. So many people that I know who are joining are quitting without even giving the game a shot.

If it's too bugged to even open a launcher, I can just come back another time.
Still though, I'd like fix it because I do want to play the game at least.
gl man eme isnt gonna do anything to help u. my ticket is still open from the 7th when i had checksum errors and random fatal errors.

Ignore the troll responses thus far, I've also experienced this problem sporadically whenever I dc and the launcher prompts me to re-login. Try restarting your pc and/or your router if you get this problem of TERA Launcher.exe auto closing itself in task manager, it will usually launch properly after that.
Just did both of those. It's still being stubborn.

I'm pretty sure all of that is fine. I think it's something wrong with the launcher itself.
Either the path is wonky, or something is blocking it, but I'm letting TERA through my firewall and my anti-virus is off.
Have you formatted your hard drive and installed a fresh copy of your operating system?

Also did the whole, get the files from a friend thing.
The launcher HAS opened before, but, for some reason, it just stopped.
Also, my download speeds are so bad, it would take me more than a month to get these files redownloaded.
And, I never downloaded TERA rising for that reason. I have the box copy and I patched it.
Try uninstalling and installing a fresh copy of Tera: Rising.

I went to a friend's house and got his files, and they still won't work on mine.
I went to my folder and tried to launch the TERA-launcher.exe as admin from there with no luck.
Also, I checked my task manager. When I launch it, TERA-launcher.exe will be on there as a process, but then end itself.
In addition, I've tried updating my Windows, doing the certificates, and all the other things already suggested on the answer page.
I doubt it's the fact that I'm using other files now, because this is probably the 15th MMO that someone has transferred onto my computer (crappy download speeds), and I never have problems with it.
So what's going on?

-Log in
